No doubt, Fredette will be at least starter in the NBA, if not a top 10 guard in some years. I'll take him.

nobody thought nash would be what he is. it's too early to tell for a player like fredette. he's not one of these crazy athletes like Perry Jones. He's a risk.

top 10 guard in the NBA? Never

Not even top 10 PG...

I even doubt starter, he will have to play PG in the NBA due to his size but he he is a scorer that gets some assists in college due to being such a threat. He is not a natural PG by any means. He will struggle.

Unathletic Ben Gordon, slighty better shooter probably.

Yup.... Duffy stating the obvious anyway, whether solicited or not. Who cares what drivel an agent spews anyway? Nash has his 'out' built in. He purposely negotiated control of his final 2-3 yrs. No point in accelerating his departure unless the bottom drops completely out. Which I doubt as we should see both individual and overall improvement next yr.

Keep moving folks, nothing to see here.

Maybe I'm cynical but everytime I see this, I think, "that person has not talked to Suns management and has NO idea what the fan consequences to trading Nash would be."

Sarver's entrails would be dragged through town from the back of white pickup trucks (complete with gunless gun racks) if Nash were traded for anything less than Kobe, Durant, LeBron, and Howard, plus the option to come back next year, with a promise that all season ticket holders will get cheerleader escorts for three weeks following the trade for "comforting purposes."

That's not to say that Nash can't or won't ever leave - Barbosa was Phoenix's adopted son, but he was given the fans' blessing and best wishes when he went to Toronto because it made sense.

I can see where Duffy is right saying we should consider offers for Nash in the offseason, but he shouldn't be saying this stuff right now during the middle of the season, its the same rehashed stuff we have heard from the ESPN talking heads all season long.

I honestly don't see why we need to trade him. Every year I think we might need to "blow it up" and start the rebuild since, inevitably, Nash will slow down, our window will close, yadda yadda yadda, but it's clear that it is STILL the case that if you put the right pieces around Nash, your team can actually contend. We have an absolutely bollocks roster and look at how well we're playing right now. It's all due to Nash. If he can keep this going next year, and the year after that, then I say we do what we can to improve the team around him, not blow it up and get worse and then hope to turn into the Thunder instead of the T'Wolves.

We're in a good position for the future I think. We've got cap room, we've got draft picks. If we can make something happen through a trade or through FA over the next few seasons, I honestly think we could go deep in the playoffs. I never thought that before, but Nash is still one of the best players in the league, and he can take us far if he has the right tools to play with.

Retroactive pun intended.

Why would any team trade for Nash this summer? If there is a long lockout and (worst case scenario) the NBA loses a whole season, that means whatever team trades for Nash won't see him play a single game until the 12-13 season when he's 39 years old. I don't know what team would give up anything of serious value for that.

Last I checked JJ Redick is a solid NBA player...and to compare Jimmer to JJ is apples to oranges other than they are both great shooters. JJ is a guy who moves well off the ball and a catch n shoot style player. Jimmer on the other hand creates most of his shots. Do I think Jimmer will be an all star? Nah. Do I think Jimmer will be the next Morrison? Nah. But he will be a good role player, with a lights out shot.He could be a great player if he improves his passing and quickness. He has good handles too which is often overlooked.

the handles and ability to get his own shot is what makes me intrigued. I try not to compare him to Curry because I think Curry does everything Fredette does except 20% better, but it's hard.
