it makes me definitely FEEL OLD.... I still remember him coming in the league... and I remember having his UPPERDECK All Rookie Card, which my cousin stole from me..... bastard!

Anyways, that was back in sixth grade.... WOW.

I appreciate what Shaq brought.... He was definitely one of the greats..

but I still rank Hakeem above him, same tier as David Robinson..... Shaq was dominant, but ironically can be a liability at the end of games, or during close games...

but still you have to appreciate someone 7'1 320 pounds, with the explosiveness of a power forward.

Shame Kobe will 1 up him or maybe 2 up him in ring count...

Thanks for being an offensive foul and a travel every time down the court, Shaq. Thanks for being a part of the greatest fix job in the history of basketball, Shaq. Thanks for leading the resurgence of the biggest freakshow of fans in LA, Shaq. Oh, and if that wasn't enough, thanks for contributing to the ultimate demise of our beautiful era of Suns basketball, though I can't blame you as much as Porter for that.

Come on man, the guy just retired....

Don't care. Perfect time to reflect. In a few years I'll be able to be cool about him.

I'd say a guy named Michael Jordan was infinitely more entertaining. I'd also say a guy like Steve Nash was infinitely more entertaining. Shaq was entertaining off the court, but on the court? What's entertaining about bulldozing players and traveling?

if you watch his last press conference you can see the difference to clowns like lebron or kobe.
shaq is smart, he has a nice sense of humor. so this is why the nba will miss him most. his performance was on decline anyway.

Main problem with Shaq OFF the court was, while he was/is absolutely hilarious....he seems to have very thin skin. He can dish it out but he gets his panties in a bunch way too much. Kind of an **** a lot of the time, I don't know.

If he can stay in "character Shaq" mode, of course it's great.
