Thank you Aust. Government for the free Macbooks.... Because I got my hands on a decent version of 2K11

My Player mode is fantastic. Started out as a 7'2 athletic center, drafted to the Wizards. Averaged like 16, 12 and 3 blocks, got the start and an all star selection. But then, the game froze....

Started again. 6'3 athletic Pg. Drafted to the Thunder, but requested a trade to the Suns. Got traded along with Mo Pete for Hedo. The "Phoenix Suns FO" in the game has been crap. Traded Nash and HIll to Denver for Al Harrington, and Billups, and Lopez was traded for Maynor, and Clark for Brad Miller. Currently have the softest fornt court in the league, with Al Harrington and Brad MIller starting. Yikes!

Yeah, my My Player mode saw Steve Nash retiring in his first year. Blech. Kind of ironic considering I'm on the Rockets, tearing up the league with my (healthy and not retired) teammate Yao Ming.

^^pretty cool trailer but tbh it's hard to tell how different it is from 2K11 from just flashing around to different highlights. The graphics do look good but I guess I will be more convinced when I see all the new features, hopefully deeper My Player etc. I mean let's not kid ourselves I will definitely be buying it no matter what anyway.

all the nba 2k12 needs to reach the sky is improvement in defense. Zona press please, faster marking & rotation with bugs eliminated...
In fact, i'd like to see more realistic offensive playcalling. 2k11 is like streetball, and when you want control it, the game is soooo slow... So boring...
Offense wins games, Defense wins championships...

I'm sure you've probably seen it, but in case you haven't, on facebook (and I'm sure it's posted somewhere else but I haven't been bothered to look) the 2k developers have been releasing bits of info about new features in the game. They've talked about My Player previously, and the latest one was a bit about the development mode. Search NBA 2k on fb.

Thanks! I haven't been good about tracking their releases lately, I will check it out.

For a game slated to be out in October 4, shouldn't the demo be out?

IIRC, at least 3 weeks before 2k11 was out I already had my hands on it.

I believe I read that the demo is coming out this week.

Edit: Yeah, it came out today apparently. Heh.

Just for 360 & PS3. I'm a PC gamer so I'll have to wait a bit more.

I got the demo last night. Played it a couple of times (you only get to play one quarter). You can definitely see the improvements they made in terms of gameplay. The ball just doesn't go through people. It's more realistic.

I noticed that sometimes players would get stuck right under the ring, and when you try to shoot, instead of a layup, it would try a jumpshot, and the ball would just bounce off the ring. I hope it's something they know about, or it was just something random that happened to me.

A rim and a ring are two different things. A rim is the thing attached to the backboard, a ring is what turns a girlfriend into a fat nagging b*tch!

Ahh can't wait for 2k12 and the hopefully more accurate player ratings. Shannon Brown had a 78 last time around .__.

Eric Gordon only 82? Nash is on par with JJ and Smith? Dirk at 85?

It's like they're not even trying.

I usually wait a year or two before I buy a new sports game. 2k12 doesn't seem too different from 2k11. Might as well wait for 2k13 or 14
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.
