Should Frye be in the SUNS future?

Post#1 » by Beas4pres » Fri Dec 9, 2011 6:41 pm

In my opinion he only fits for his 3pt shooting but all in all he is a shot jacker.

I dont see him as a starting caliber player suns need to strengthen up the PF position and the only way I believe this can happen is in 2012 NBA draft

Anthony Davis, Drummond, Jones, Sullinger (there is 4 PF's the suns can have for future)

I believe that if we could package him in a deal with another player or the 2nd round pick we got from toronto that we can get a decent PF in return

Frye to Charlotte for Tyrus Thomas

He performed better than anyone's expectations after getting his fatty contract, his defense continually improved near the end of the season, as did his post offense, and he spaces the floor better than anyone else we could put in his position.

Everyone you listed is unproven, worse and not a fan favorite. TT is undersized and doesnt impact games like Frye can.

wtfsunswtf

do you think he is the answer for future PF though????

i am saying make room and use him for a trade

I think a team where Frye is one of the lead scorers and gets as many shots as he does will not be a successful team

Tyrus Thomas can be successful with Nash and is a good shot blocker and athletic

not a fan favorite. Neither is Frye. All you bashed on him the year before last then jumped on the bandwagon

he was good when amare got double teamed and triple teamed because he was wide open.

All those college players i listed except the hype of Jones from baylor will have a better career then frye "MARK MY WORD"

sullinger will be a LOVE type PF
Davis is young and will grow into his frame
drummond will be a wreckoning in the paint

---That's his job - he's supposed to shoot. And you didn't notice how much more effective he became last year as a defender and rebounder, despite playing away from the basket on offense?
One of the most effective players in the league, statwise. Soles has the numbers

I dont see him as a starting caliber player suns need to strengthen up the PF position and the only way I believe this can happen is in 2012 NBA draft

--- His best role is as a second unit player, much like Duds. And how many players can you name who worked as hard and improved as much after signing a new, bigger deal?

I have always had an unfounded-by-any-evidence like for Tyrus, but Frye ha sshown a hell of a lot more thamn TT has. Add him, but don't subtract Frye

Show me where I ever bashed Frye - i think you'd find a very short list

Is Frye an amazing PF? Heck no.

Is he better than Tyrus Thomas? Heck yes.
Looking forward to the 28-29 season.

Let's be honest, unless we are bringing in an all-star caliber player, Frye is our best option. Any other move for a mediocre/decent player is a lateral move at best and that's what all these presented options sound like, lateral moves.

With Steve Nash as the PG, beyond a doubt yes. The Suns got the center they wanted for defense and PNR. Now, just fill the floor with shooters. Simple as that.

For now I think Frye is the best option for us at PF unless we can some how trade for Josh Smith or something.

Team chemistry is important and cutting him now isn't gonna solve anything.

In the long run, I think Frye will better off the bench just like the year we went to the WCFs.

For some weird reason, I have very high expectations for Morris and I think he'll be our future PF.

Did we really need a new thread for this? Couldnt this have been in the offseason thread? Hell, you could have even put this in your Trade Ideas for this Season! thread.

And i am all for trading Frye, but not for no damn Tyrus Thomas. He's hot garbage.

Did you really have to ask? Back for one week and the troll makes a few threads, all about the offseason. I think I have been posting here for about three to four years counting my GoDogGo name, and I think I've made two threads.
