Finally Replacing Amare!!!

Post#1 » by Beas4pres » Thu Dec 22, 2011 10:19 pm

First off every player we have had since Amar'e did not replace any of the production that Amar'e had. Amar'e was double and triple teamed leaving the likes of Frye open for Three's. We have been trying to build around NASH and it has not worked. Finally we have an opportunity with this years draft.

Who do you want for the future PF for the Suns and Amar'es Replacement

Anthony Davis

Andre Drummond

Arnett Moultrie

Jared Sullinger

Fry: "Now, ask her how her day was."
Zoidberg: "Why would I want to know?"
Fry: "You wouldn't. Ask anyway!"
Zoidberg: "How was your day?"
Edna: "Well, first I got up and had a piece of toast. Then I brushed my teeth. Then I went to the store to buy some fish..." *goes on*
Zoidberg: "Fry, look what you did! She won't shut up."

Dude, i really don't know how to respond to these posts. I have not read any post where someone says they believe this team will win a championship as currently constructed around Nash as our PG. The majority of posters realize we are in a period of decline and are trying to figure out how to transition from a team that went to the WCF just 2 years ago, to a team that might make the playoffs as a low seed.

I don't believe this team will come close to winning a championship, but I do think they can go to the playoffs, and if get lucky like in 2010 make some noise. Maybe that is what you are getting confused about......going to the playoffs vs. winning the chip.

There are also posters with perfectly good arguments that this team will not make the playoffs.

Regardless of which side you fall on, the big debate is how to transition from being one of the elite NBA team for the last several years, to a newer and younger team.

Some (including you Beas4pres) advocate completely tanking, winning 19 games and getting the number 1 pick in the draft. That is probably the riskiest way try to rebuild, but it does yield a good result if you get lucky and draft the right player. Once you "blow it up" you are $hit for years while you wait for your newly aquired talent to develop.

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.
