Back to the thread; did or did Lopez not play well? We seem to have differing opinions. I refuse to believe he could have "sucked' and played well?! That is such a discrepancy.

Common teach. Took me about three minutes to figure it out. And I had to actually find the story. I was pretty sure people here didn't understand or this post would be getting more activity.

Do you still play? I was able to play the drums today, my wife took the boy out to do some shopping. Was that a Gibson SG in the video?

I played for a living, such as it was, until about '86. Then I went into journalism - after I took a buyout from the paper my pal Gordon form the Pointed Sticks and i opened a recording studio. It's still going though I'm not involved day to day anymore. Got a new album coming out next year, first in 20-some years. We did a tour of japan a couple years ago and will likely go back again when the record is out, but mostly I just play for fun these days. It's a lot easier on the soul and the pocketbook, plus my wife would not like me to bugger off for weeks and months at a time, and neither would I.

I just stick to writing books these days and doing freelance stuff to fill in the cracks. For a guy who doesn't play professionally much anymore i have waaaay too many guitars and amps. I need to thin out the herd some

Never get rid of your gear. You can most likely never get them back. My buddy played professionally for years, had tons of great guitars, and kept trading or selling them. Now he misses too many of those guitars, and today their worth is way more than what he sold them for.

I have a good collection going myself, although I am pretty weak on the guitar. I practice it more than the drums these days, because I can still watch the boy and play guitar. Drums and watching him don't mix, well unless I am playing hand drums. But he loves to play, and he really likes the shiny parts of the guitar. I already have a few waiting for him when he is ready.

I always picture my boy like Bonham's son in the DVD Song Remains the Same.

Can't let this die. You have too much to offer. The article I posted doesn't give you justice. I found others that talked about Vancouver as being an epicenter in alt rock. Would you mind answering some questions that are kind of 'deep". I'll post a video showing a guy that I admire (mancrush) and would like you to "translate'".
