you mean that 1st round pick that got traded to houston for a player thats in china right now?

yeah - that one. It could only have been worse if they traded him to get KT back, completing the circle of sh*t. No knock on KT, but that would be head-exploding irony

who'd Hous take with that pick - or do I not want to know?

Nikola Mirotic

June 23, 2011: Drafted by the Houston Rockets in the 1st round (23rd pick) of the 2011 NBA Draft.

June 23, 2011: Traded by the Houston Rockets with Brad Miller, Chandler Parsons and a future 1st round draft pick to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Jonny Flynn, Donatas Motiejunas and a future 2nd round draft pick.

June 23, 2011: Traded by the Minnesota Timberwolves to the Chicago Bulls for Norris Cole, cash and Malcolm Lee.

Nobody wanted that pick

Thanks - yeah, that one travelled a bit, didn't it. Still, we could have used it

Thinking more about it I agree with you. With that said, I don't think team execs should outwardly state basically "good riddance" when a player is waived/traded...no matter the circumstances that's just unprofessional

Yes, and I think for that to have happened, Pietrus must have really pushed some buttons. But usually that stuff stays out of the mainstream media and just gets around intra-league

too bad they werent' as forthcoming about why Dragic got 86'd
