His agent needs to be the deal maker because Nash won't request a trade himself and any team that trades for him will want an extension with it. I still see Orlando as the best trade partner. They have pieces that fit around him and they have all their picks. I'm sure J-Rich and Q are hittin him up daily.

Does Steve really have an agent?

I believe any move we would be doing would be a bad option for us. That trade with Portland does not seem to be bad at all, provided another team can get into it and provide the picks we should be granted.
That trade keeps our financial flexibility for next summer, when ABSOLUTELY NOBODY will be available and we will be having a ton of money to spend in no player at all.

I do not see a solution for this situation. And I believe Nash should never leave Phoenix. I believe he will probably resign for two more years, as the other possibility, going to the Knicks, seems to close by Lin's presence.

OK, Here is a crazy idea.

NY gets Warrick, Childress, Frye, Suns 2012 first round pick.

Orlando gets Carmelo Anthony

Suns get Dwight Howard

NY does it because they get out of Anthony's contract, and his presence, since he is just not a fit with Lin. They also get a great pick in a deep draft.

Orlando gets something in return for Howard, who might walk this summer if they do not deal in a week.

Phoenix gets Howard and some space to sign more pieces (who might be very willing to come here and play with Nash)

I know this is lopsided, but Im a homer.

HUH? Steve Nash is the prestige of this franchise, and the reason your a Suns fan, and the reason there are butts in the seat every game, and the reason we won against the Wolves last night.
Trading Steve right now for a less than underwhelming package (which is clearly all that has been out there) would be a huge mistake because not only are you losing $ (which will tick off $arver) but your not giving one of the greats of your franchise a say in the decision.

From day one, everything done was run through Nash, and that' still happening. Did Nash control or nay-say any moves? No. Is he so good and loyal that he deserves this right? Yes. Does every real Suns fan, including Robert Sarver and Steve Nash himself, want Steve to retire a Sun? YES.

Does Steve have a problem with this? Well, from everything he has said, no. He could easily be saying the right things in the media for all we know, but really, that's not Steve Nash. When he starts something, he's going to see it through to the end, and I believe that's what's going to happen here.
The only other real threat is him bouncing to New York and/or Miami after being courted by D'Antoni/STAT/Melo or Wade/James/Bosh.

With that said, I don't think the NY ties are as high any more because he did get the divorce (although he would be living there in the off-season still I assume) and his real future after his basketball career is probably in LA (film production).

any team getting him this season will be a rental. he'll go to the Knicks next season to school Lin to preserve his awesome legacy.

Lin and Melo are playing well together. Stat is having trouble with Chandler clogging the middle somewhat. But serious - with harrelson back, and Davis as backup, and Smith - they're a good team right now

shaky in many ways, but getting more used to each other.
