I think everyone forgets that Goran completely sucked for us before the trade. That summer his free throw percentage dropped dramatically, and with that his confidence. He wouldn't drive to the basket anymore, and his aggressiveness showed up maybe once. I have no idea what happened to him, but that was the situation.

Along with his regression, Lopez sucked even worse. We couldn't play him more than eighteen minutes a game, and in that he could barely jump. His back was terrible, and lost so much lift, that he was getting his one foot dunk attempts blocked by SFs.

To top it off, we didn't re-sign Lou, who was the main reason we had so much hustle throughout the team. And even Dudley remarked about the loss of Lou.

And LB wanted out.

So we basically lost three out of the five of those guys, and didn't replace them. Even if we had replaced Amare with let's say DLee, our bench might have had the same issues.

We better land something by trading Brooks to Lakers or something.

Else we traded Dragic and 1st for NOTHING

Terrible reserve play isn't new--This was one of our main problems last season as well. Few here want to acknowledge it much, but Goran was one of the worst players in the league while in Phoenix last season--and the absence of Barbosa killed the entire dynamic of our bench. And the stupidity of pissing Lou off, of course.

At least the Barbosa thing eventually led to Gortat. But yeah...the fact that Brooks ran to China really really sucks.

Ironically when the Suns made it to the WCF against the lakers.... Suns bench was ranked as one of the BEST in the league...

a season or 2 later... woeful... (Dudley is a starter now, and everyone else has been replaced).

Pretty much, we lost that trade and Aaron Brooks is likely to not ever suit up for the Suns again. Time to move on and admit our loss.

We swung for the fences and managed to hit a grounder into the bullpen that took out one of our players,
