Suns offer Nash 6 million per year.

Buh bye, Suns. Raptors offer 36 million for 3 years, and the Suns are offering 12 million for 2 years. with this kind of disgraceful disrespect to the greatest player in franchise history, the Suns deserve everything that's coming to them in the next several bottom dwelling years.

This deserves it's own thread.

So let me get this straight. The Suns are giving Josh Childress more money for taking out splinters from his butt from sitting on the bench. They are offering a MAX contract to Eric Gordon??? They say they will match any offer that Robin friggin Lopez gets and they trade away Dragic for a player they are barely even interested in anymore (Brooks) and now are willing to give the world to Dragic who in the past has lost his backup role to Nash.

This same management is offering just 6 million to the most important player in their history, one that took this sorry bunch way further than any other player could. The least thing they could have done is just say thanks and tell him we are rebuilding, but with this disgraceful offer, well, lets just say karma is a biatch. they'll get what's coming to them...

Story has already been refuted.

No dollars have been discussed with Nash though from what I have read, Nash has a good idea the Suns are only offering 2 years.

And the reason they would only offer Nash 6m is because he is 38 years old and its time they build for the future. Just because Sarver screwed up and overpaid for Childress, doesn't mean the organization means to pay $12m to Nash for things done in the past.

It's been refuted in the sense that we haven't made that offer yet, but Coro said that when we do make our offer, it will be around that range.

Nash is still an All-Star. and if you know anything about his conditioning, he will continue playing at this level for whatever period the contract is for. By even being in the Suns forum, you should be aware of that. 8 years ago, Cuban was saying what you were saying. Now Cuban is saying it's the biggest mistake he's ever made as an owner.

Bottom line is this organization is run by absolute idiots. for every good move they make they make about 15 fails. only hope is if Sarver ever sells. And with Nash gone, get used to seeing half empty arena for years to come. The value of the team is gonna plummet....

Don't believe this. Nash means more to the Suns from a BRI standpoint than $6m. I can see them not wanting to give a 3rd year, as that's in-line with previous precedents, but $6m per is stupid.

I would imagine that its 2-years, $12 per. Not 12 total.

Coro has hinted that it will be 6 m per year, 12 total.

He said that Toronto's offer "doubles" ours annually. IF they are offering 12 mill annually, then we are offering 6.

That does show a lack of respect to Steve. I would rather not make an offer than make one so insulting.

The way I thought I understood it is they didnt offer it to him. They obviously did hint to him what they would be willing to pay him while trying to use money for other parts hoping he came back and allowed us to spend to get other assets. Not actually offering it to him because it is an insult seems what they are guilty of, witch is a good thing right?

I hate it. Just give a farewell press conference where both sides part in fair way instead of this low balling offer. What a disgrace if it's true.

And yet we'll still have people on here defending the moves of this completely inept front office,

Complete lack of class to offer one of the all-time greatest Suns a low-ball contract that you would usually offer to a guy like Shannon Brown.

John Gambadoro ‏@Gambo620

Contrary to various reports I can assure you the Suns did not make a 2-year 12 mill offer to Steve Nash. No contract has been discussed

Paul Coro wrote:From the start of free agency Saturday night through Monday night, the Suns had spoken once with Nash, and both sides agree that there has not been an offer extended. However, while Toronto is offering Nash a three-year contract worth at least $35 million, the Nash camp knew the Suns were thinking about a two-year deal for barely more than half that in annual salary.

Paul Coro wrote:Toronto’s willingness to offer Nash a three-year contract between $35 million and $40 million might double the annual salary that the Suns have shown they are willing to do in a two-year contract. Brooklyn is expected to also make a large three-year offer if Williams picks Dallas. If Williams picks Brooklyn, Nash stands to make the most in Dallas next season on a one-year deal. New York is trying to be creative with a sign-and-trade deal and roster moves to give him a three-year offer as well. Nash, 38, said he is seeking a three-year contract and it is clear that the annual ceiling for any contract length elsewhere will be $10 million, a number the Suns have not approached.

Nash's options cleared up some with Deron Williams choosing Brooklyn, putting Dallas in the hunt. Dallas is expected to make a one-year, eight-figure offer to compete with Toronto, which is willing to give Nash a three-year, $35 million deal.

The Suns and Nash's camp say no offer was made to Nash but there was an expectation that the Suns would not approach Toronto's offer. Gordon's addition would interest Nash, but he would have to wait until July 14 to know the result.

Oh, look who pops up again.

After almost having not seen you posting for almost forever, you pop up again, creating a new thread, again bashing the Suns F.O.

Why am I not surprised? As about 99% of your posts is probably the same recycled junk over and over again.

The story has been proved false, by the way.

Good try though.
