Beasley looked lazy out there I remember a crucial play before we lost our lead when he simply didn't show enough effort to fight through a screen to give Afflalo a three. I'm also losing my patience with Morris he looked terrible out there and it's very frustrating. Can't understand the hate on Dudley, though.

I'm a fan of Gentry but I think he screwed this game up. Didn't call a timeout and had some weired rotation out there. But in the end, he can't do anything about the quality of our players and let's face it, he only have one good wing player (Dudley), two post players (Scola and Gortat who both looked fantastic) and one goog playmaker (Dragic). The rest of these players aren't good players for a team that has the ambition to go to the playoffs.

Look at that quote from Glen Davis:

“There’s no All-Stars here. … If we want to go somewhere, we have to go together.”

Nobody on our team has this attitude. The only thing I heard from a guy like Beasley is that we have to get used to him and that our team is not very talented. Lack of leadership.

:o wow suns fans have some irrational love for Dudley, is he the Scalabrine of phoenix? .... honestly he shouldn't even be starting at this point gentry should just have Dragic play shooting guard and put Telfair in the starting lineup as a pg

Scola, Beasley, Dragic, and Gortat are the only ones worth keeping on this roster. The funny thing is people thought Gortat would struggle the most without Nash, but its obvious its going to be Dudley.

Dudley always comes slow out of the gates, he missed a lot of open jumpers assisted by Dragic just like at the beginning of last season. Also, I never said that he is a starting shooting guard we just don't have any alternatives.

I don't understand the criticism towards Dudley. Even if he plays like he is supposed to, it won't make a difference. He is not a game changer. Just a role player.

We're a team of role players. We need a game changer badly, regardless what position they play.

Excellent Post. Just to add something. Leadership is more action than words.

Yes to all of it. We do need better leadership, we do need a game changer, and we probably need a new coach. But I'm not overly concerned. I don't have too high of expectations for this team. I like that we are rebounding the ball and I like that we are playing defense(this game was rough though). We're taking some lumps, but we're still in a great spot going forward. It's not like we gave Beasley a max deal, we knew he was a gamble. Yes he is looking lost on the court, but this could be just getting used to the system and other players. We'll see as the season progresses.

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

who are you guys looking to draft? A SG/SF or a Bigmen?

I think Shabazz would be our best bet, his game is very similar to James Harden.

I think Dudley is starting to stray away from what made him such a good role player and that is his sharp shooting/3pt shooting. It seems to me he is trying to hard to create for himself/others and is handling the ball too much. He also is looking to pass more now and passing up open shots.

I like Shabazz a lot. He seems to have the defensive intensity of MKG and the athleticism for him is off the charts.

Well, offensive talent like Shabazz and the Suns would be match made in heaven but he is going to be the first (or at least top 3) pick next year. We need to be really bad to have a shot at him.

More realistic options are Archie Goodwin or BJ Young.

I`d also like Steven Adams as long term replacement for Gortat.

Dudley just gets a bad rap because he isnt very athletic but he signed a very reasonable long term deal with PHoenix showing his loyalty. He has everything a team could want for a 6th man roll player type-solid defense, good perimeter shooting and can even create a bit as he has high BBIQ and solid passing.

I agree with everything GrantHill said in essence-

* Not impressed with Morris so far
* Very impressed with Gortat and Scola so far (yay old guys lol)
* Dragic and Telfair seem to both be playing decent but there is always room for improvement, and theres always Marshall
* Beas so far seems uninterested; if he is still riding this vibe at the allstar break ill let him have it

Honestly we probably need 8-12 weeks to see if guys like Beas or Johnson are going to blossom or fizzle. And that Tucker is definetly a scrapper no doubt about that - hes crazy in a good way.
