Not only does he disrupt the fluidity with lack of ball movement, he is taking the most shots and missing a large portion of them (I'm not even going to mention his defense). If he gets hot off the bench ride him until it wares off. I'd also like to see him play with some of the defensive/hustle guys like Telfair/Tucker to hide for his defensive deficiencies.
I think this starting unit would be more fluid together. Dudley and Brown played together last year at the end and did a solid job. Dudley has gotten killed offensively by playing most of his time with Beasley and by not having a capable wing defender to help him out (ala Grant Hill). Trading Brown for Beasley essentially replaces one chucker for another but at least Brown can play some defense and for now is more effective offensively than Beasley.
Another thing I would suggest, which would probably not sit well with some posters is to sit Morris pretty much entirely. I'm not really sure how most people don't see this but he is an incredibly inefficient and quite frankly bad basketball player. He has a very low basketball IQ, fouls constantly, and shoots an atrocious 39% from the field for his career as a PF! Why he continues to get the minutes he does really blows me away. Maybe give some of Morris' minutes to Wes Johnson and you can slide Tucker/Beasley to the 3/4 spot off the bench. I really think Johnson could be an effective player for us if given the opportunity. Although he hasn't shown it in the pros, the guy was an excellent shooter in college with the ability to run in the open floor. He seemed to have a good summer league and training camp, I'd like to see them at least give the guy a shot.
Morris has been turning things around the past few games. He just had a bit of a slow start. He may foul more than average, but I've noticed the defense is lacking when he's not in the game. His shots also look like they may be starting to fall. He's playing passing lanes pretty well, and has definitely improved his rebounding. Beasley should get the bump down to the bench, but replacing Morris's minutes with Wes Johnson is stupid. I agree that he should get some playing time to see what he can do, but I feel like there's stuff the coaching staff isn't impressed with behind the scenes, which is why he can't get PT.
I'm personally confused as to why they don't give Marshall at least 5-10 MPG. It's obvious that this team isn't going anywhere this year, so why not see what the kid can do? I'm not a Telfair fan, personally, but he has looked good while on the floor next to Dragic, so I wouldn't mind seeing him in the starting lineup as an experiment. That would give a bit more backup minutes to Marshall, but wouldn't put a ton of pressure on him to have to play well every night.
