Unfair to call him a ball hog so far this season. There is a lot to point out, but being a black hole is not one of them

sees like for some of us beasley can do anything he wants. some will always defend him others critizise.
i think when you look back at his years in the nba this is not a player to rely on.

If you guys remember, Beasly did not come in and think or expect to have an ultra green light, he was ACTUALLY told by Gentry to shoot more, and was ecouuraged to be more of a chucker than he already was. I dont think he is going to have a problem accepting a lesser role in the offense and get all butt hurt over it. He is capable of adapting into a role as a secondary or 3rd facilitator, grab some boards, and change some shots down low, much like Diaw for us, who when he has it going scoring wise, can easily carry us in those types of games. Beasly when not turning the ball over, was not hurting us, he actually gave a lot of great passes for assists to a few guys, in fact he can actually help Gortat on the pick and roll points because its good to have two people (Dragic and Beasly) who do it effectivly so the other team dosent always know where it is gonna happen or who from. Beasly has actually thrown Gortat a lot of great passes under the basket this season, but either because of not being familiar YET... or poor hands by Gortat, he missed the passes.
I think Beasly and Brown did a great job of adjusting this game to what was going on and showed great awareness and maturity. They realized that Gortat and Morris had it going early, and did a great job of helping get them the ball and not just jacking up really bad shots to get thier points. At the same time the fact that Brown is a more dangerous scorer than Duds at the moment, and the fact that Beaslys man has to respect his ability to score, because you know he can, thier men couldnt cheat off of them to help on Gortat and Morris to try to slow them down. If thats Duds (the way he has been shooting, and not cutting to the basket) and Tucker, you cheat off of them all day in those situations. Both Brown and Beasly helped create space in the paint for Dragic to disect and Gortat and Morris to work, while remaining viable threats on the court. So in a game when the two bigs dont have it going, maybe one of Brown or Beasly will.
So for those who said Brown and Beasly starting together would be just a chuck fest...... it did not happen. And If it had, that would be on the coach for not pulling back the reigns on that guy during the game. I like the balance of the new starters with Gortat and Morris being ultra aggressive and Dragic beign himself. I also think Duds, Scola, and Oneal are better suited to abuse bench players form other teams.
The adjustment I noticed was Beasley got benched for most of the night and when he was in his teammates didnt give him the ball. I also noticed we were 10 times as good with PJ Tucker on the floor.
When Beasley gets really really hot you're right, he can carry an offense, but he only gets that kind of hot about once in every 15 games, and he has to take a TON of shots to get hot, and he is so wretched at everything else (he makes Warrick look stout on defense) that if he is not just hot, but blazing hot, he is a waste of space on the floor.
The Wolves couldnt give Sleazley away last year, Miami had to ship him for 2nd round picks. There is very little hop that a couple of his fluke good games would give him any sort of trade value. He is a very bad NBA player and most of the league is well aware of it.
The only positive of playing the Sleaze is that it improves our draft position. The negatives are inumorous, and one that should be of most concern is that it hinders the development of other players and his ball hogging fosters resentment in teammates.
Agree with everything, i feel like some people dont even pay attention what he does on the defenseve end.
Im pretty sure one game he gets it going offensively, this page is full of , OMG BEAAASSSSSLEEEEYYYYY!!!!!!!! BEASLEY!!!! BE-BE-BE-BEASLEYYY. Jack-jackjack-jack-jack-jackpotttt!!!!! Meanwhile his defense cost us 30 points and resentment issues from players whoever is trying on that end.
Once more: Beasley haters are not so much hating on him because what he does on the offensive end, we hate him because what he is doing on the defensive end.

Its more than fair to call him a black hole. He is among the league leaders in shots per minute, he has a negative assist to turnover ratio. The only thing limiting his ball-hog nature is how frequently he is riding the pine. He goes ISO more than any player the Suns have had in ages. The fact that once in every 4 games he decides to throw some passes does not mitigate that he is our team leader in shot attempts while being dead last among our regulars in field goal percentage. The guy is the definition of a black hole.

I loath him on both ends, but you are right that his defenders totally ignore that even on the rare occasion that he is hot, he is still playing so poorly on defense that it wipes his offensive gains out.
And seriously, people are still calling him "Beastley"... the guy has literally been one of the worst players if not THE worst player in the entire league so far this year. There is nothing Beast about him.
