So now the rotations have been up to the FO and not the coach? And you call what I said absurd.

He could be right. Blabby (props to rsavaj for the new nickname) probably told Gentry something along the lines of "let's wait until the all-star break to give up on Beasley" and Gentry said okay because he's on the last year of his deal.

Possible, but just as possible is Gentry is inept.

I don't understand why what I have been observing and others have as well is "absurd", but a total hypothetical is more plausible. :rofl2:

Maybe Blabby is responsible for benching Gortat for no reason and having Brown take the last shot, because the last thing the Bs want is a win.

Its happened before, but I get it. You just have an opinion and you won't give Gentry a break, but whatever. I'm done talking about the subject.

On the Suns? When, I don't remember this.

It's not just my opinion, many are starting to come around the more they watch the Suns this year. Did Gortat really get only three minutes in the fourth? Did Goran really check in around the five minute mark of the fourth? Just another winnable game lost. :(

I don't think it's a matter of the FO plainly and frankly setting the rotations directly, but you need to look at the larger context.

Michael Beasley was our #1 target this offseason. Blanks said it, Babby said it; hell, they went to go see Beas before they even talked to Nash this summer.

It is clear that they are painting him as our new bargain-bin superstar. We have (foolishly) hitched our hopes on the Beas Bandwagon.

As such, the coaching staff is probably under some pressure to make him a featured player. You're not going to bench your star acquisition <15 games into the season(as much as I'd love to see Beasley benched).

Gentry has actually shown a surprising willingness to sit him in crunch-time in favor of the much unheralded PJ Tucker, which is something that he doesn't seem to be getting much-deserved credit for.

This is getting good, link to any of this actually being truth. And not to Blabby saying they wanted Beas, a link saying or hinting that Blabby is making Gentry play guys even if they are bad.

Dude. The outward scoffing("this is getting good, *roll*") is not endearing.

The FO is Gentry's boss.

It would not be Gentry's best interests to bench the boss's favorite player, even though he should, but he won't(at least not any time soon), because he probably wants to keep his job.

I don't have a "link" for that, because that seems fairly obvious to me.

What do you want me to do. Throughout this and other threads, many are all over me for pointing out actual things that are going on, and then three of you come up with a hypothetical that is just silly. Come on man, if you don't see the irony in that, oh well.

I highly doubt in the middle of the game Gentry is worrying about Blabby's boy. And if he is, it is just another reason why he is a terrible head coach. He is more worried about playing guys when they are not playing well to placate a choice made months ago. And why would Blabby want Beas showcased, when he is playing poorly? Wouldn't that just increase fans perspective that they made another bad choice?

Oh well, I guess we will just agree to disagree before I get blamed for Gentry's rotations.

Also, didn't you just get mad about Scola getting 29 minutes to Morris's 19? Is that also Blabby's fault?

I am not saying all of the rotations, I am just saying leaving Beasley in the starting rotation is probably out of Gentry's hands. As others in this thread have stated, Gentry's bosses made it perfectly clear how big a prize they stupidly though Beasley was. To then dump on it after 20 games looks really bad. And Gentry IS gravitating away from Beasley during games, but you were harping on him starting, and I honestly think him starting is probably a non negotiable situation until he solidifies his status as feces.

Again, I dont think Gentry is a great coach, but 90% of this teams problems stem from having a bad roster, and firing the coach isnt going to fix that.

Your last post said that the team was doing better than you expected, and now they are exactly where you thought they would be? What changed? :D

They lost again lol.
