Maybe he was just tired from watching Tyson Chandler get all of those rebounds over him.

oh my .. have You seen this game.. Chandler got rebounds every time Gortat helped on defense... that's what wrote before . Rebounding is team effort ...

Yup, Gortat wasn't without blame but he was giving up offensive rebounds mostly when he was going for the block and there was no 2nd rotation on defense from our wings.

I don't care if Goran is playing bad, he needs to get his minutes and he needs to finish the damn game. He is the only one there we're supposed to keep in the future. He needs to get his minutes so he can improve.

don't get me wrong - he's great but i can see only one huge problem, his defense ....

As I said before. That's why he needs minutes. To improve his game. We're not winning **** this season so we might as well develop players. Dragic is our main guy right now. Play him!

Should probably look at trading Telfair while his value is higher than it's ever been. Just give Marshall the backup minutes at PG, and let him develop. Might as well give Johnson minutes as well... and maybe try giving Zeller some actual minutes that aren't garbage. At least there would be a reason then to lose to the Pistons by 40, but at the same time doing some actual development of young players.

I agree, but this wont happen until they either fire or extend Gentry. Its hard to blame a coach for not thinking about the future when he is on a lame duck contract and his ownership has an expectation to be competitive while rebuilding.

Oh, that's right. He was going for all those blocks he got. I watch the game just like eveyone else and it's a pattern I've seen with him. He is not an elite defender. He is way more serviceable than we've had in a long time when it comes to center's but he's not the end all be all. It's true that our defense in general and team defense is sorely lacking but don't tell me he's missing all the rebounds because he's rotating for the block. He didn't block anything. I'd rather he just stay in position and box out for the rebound.

Also, there were two or three plays where he rushed his shot clearly. He was wide open with a clear path to the basket at least twice and he flubbed up a shot instead of taking it to the rim.

Any idea to get rid of Gentry, Brown, Beasley ?

No need to cut the players. We need COACH.
Fire Gentry ASAP. Just after this game.

I wish our problems were coaching and not talent related.

Rebound what? Without Gortat hedging/going for the block Felton/Melo/JR would have a clear path to the rim, because none of our players can stay in front of his guy on the perimeter.

I hope the lakers continue sucking and Dwight leaves after this season is up. That 2015 pick will be awesome!

Once they get Nash they'll be much better so I doubt they will be around .500 all season long. Prove me wrong Lakers. :x

Eh, I'm willing to give these guys a pass on this one.

- Coming into the game, Knicks were undefeated at home (6-0) with each win being 10+ (we lost by 7 I think?)
- 5th game of an east coast road trip
- Lunch time game
- No defensive anchor in Jermaine O'Neal

Sucks to lose but to keep fighting and come back from 20+ is something I can respect, unlike that awful Detroit game. And you can bet that if we did win, there'd still be naysayers bitching about how we beat good teams but lose to the bad ones. Some people you just can't please.

I think people are not mad about defeat but rather about way we're playing for couple last weeks. I cannot really see game plan , good rotations. I'm the last person who blame coach first but Gentry do not have an idea what to do...
