I don't get this. To draft who? The next Lopez? Morris? Marshall? Clark? We draft for chit. As someone just said 100% of zero is still zero.

Well, with a crappy drafting team you get lower chances of getting a hit, so you might wanna have more picks to improve the odds. If we could get picks for gortat and trade them up for 4 1st round picks, ill be content. Surely one of them can be a success.. or maybe im being too optimistic

Dragic has the tools of a 2-guard. He has a nice stroke and a good driving game however he never finds players inside. We really should look for a small time trade to get rid of Brown and bring in someone else to run the offense because Dragic is terrible at executing inside.

Someone like Bayless possibly? (straight swap)

The only other player I could think of for Brown is someone like Ridnour (Brown+Morris for Williams+Ridnour)

I gave up collecting evidence for that, cause it's so damn obvious. He is in tank mode

That makes even less sense though. You develop youth buy playing them, surrounding them with vets that can teach them the ropes, or have them working with a coaching staff that are used to younger raw talent. And even then, it's still a crapshoot. Some players don't come around until after their rookie deal. We already have ten picks over the next three years. It is almost insane to add four more first round picks to that.

There is a reason no team does this.

The problem is, he has been doing things like last night for the past three years, which would mean that he has been in the tank mode for three years. And that doesn't make sense, when two of those years the team was only a few games out of the playoffs.

So in the end, it seems more clear that Gentry, while being a good assistant coach, can not be a good head coach.

Might be. They are so obviously apparent to me this season only, tough. Might be the case where I was blinded by acceptable results.
