OT:Is NBA 2k13 the best sports game OF ALL TIME?

My favorite sports game, wasn't a video game. It was the USA vs USSR hockey game they had at Peter Piper Pizza at 32nd and Shea. You had to spin the handles to turn your guys, and they moved back and forth on the glides.

That was almost twenty-four years ago, so no picture to add.

2K11 is definitely the better game.

I think my biggest pet peeve isn't necessarily with the AI or anything else, though I do wish a lot of that was fixed. My biggest annoyance is with the lack of improvement in Association mode, my personal favorite piece of the game.

MyPlayer/MyCareer gets stale quick for me, it turns into VC farming and your guy gets overpowered quickly. Association is supposed to be the simulation of running an entire NBA Franchise. 2k11's was near-perfect. 2k12 didn't really change anything. 2k13 didn't really change anything either.

What they did do was add the simulation control element, which is nice. They also seem to have tweaked the trade AI a little bit so the trades aren't SO ridiculous. They also finally fixed that glitch where the music stopped playing once you went into the draft. But then they removed the D-League rosters and the ability to send players into the D-League. They didn't add any emphasis on practice/development. The scouting AI sucks. The free agent off-season interface went backward, especially with more than one player. The coach ratings have stayed the same for 3 years. Aaron Nelson is rated a C overall...think about that.

These all seem like nagging things, and I have a laundry list of them, but it's like, how could 2k11 be so good and then they either dont add, fix or change anything for the next 2 years, but manage to take steps backward for a lot of things?

Also while I like Jay-Z and love Kanye music and whatnot, I feel like the fact that I already knew all the songs on the soundtrack got me bored of it immediately. I like the fact that I usually don't know the music on sports games. I find a few new songs I like, I make fun of the crap I dont.

NO HELL NO WAY. I always play level HOF and i always chuck with Jennings, and he continues to score. Worst NBA game ever i have played

it's not even better than 2k11 (though I am starting to debate how much better 2k11 really was, or just me overrating a game for nostalgia (But they're both awesome).

2k11 is the best basketball game ever. I don't think it's close either. Defense is terrible in 2k13.

When it comes to realistic then NBA2K13 tops them all. Yeah, I agree bout the defense part. If you leave someone open anyone they will make you pay.

That's my problem too, they could lower it a bit.

but to be honest, It's pretty good for a videogame unless it's a guy hitting 3's like a ronnie brewer or a joakim noah.
