So we can showcase Marshall. :pray:

or preserve Telfair?

I believe this deserves much more speculation :lol:

Yea we're gonna need him in June so we can't afford to have him gassed already.

It's not the loss, it's the vicious pattern the last 3 seasons.

Yeah but look at the pattern here for the last 5 seasons ...

The Suns were mediocre last season. We lose Nash so everyone assumes we're rebuilding. We make a max offer to Gordon to compete, he stays. We make a win-now signing in Scola to elevate from bad to mediocre. So why not trade the house for a star like Harden and compete for the playoffs? Instead we're just fine in no man's land. I just don't understand the direction of what the FO is trying to accomplish.

IF our team had harden where do you think we would be?

Dragic > Lin
Harden = Harden
Dudley = Parsons
Scola > Patterson
Gortat = Asik

7-8th seed. Still too many holes.

Dragic/Harden is probably one of the best backcourts in the west.

Dudley would be in OKC so replace him with Tucker. I know he's a fan favorite but it's a super star league.

But wouldn't Gortat be there as well? Replace him with Perkins? JO?

Well according to Facebook, Dragic is sick. He said so himself, so who knows how many minutes he will be playing tomorrow against the Pelicans.

"Player Development."

I think Marshall will now get all of his minutes.

If Marshal is going to get all of Telfair's minutes I'd like to see Telfair traded to a contender that could use a back up pg perhaps a team like Boston that needs a pg with Rondo out.

He's playing with confidence, which is making a world off difference. His body language is different and he's moving with a lot more energy.

Tanking doesn't necessarily mean losing ALL games. A powerful win, specially when it's on a 4th quarter where we've been struggling so much to close games, has a morale and team development significance that is worth more that the W/L stat.

Exactly. You have to remember that even if you go 0-82 there's still 75% chance that you won't get the #1 pick in the draft.

BTW, Jeremy Lamb vs Kendall Marshall in the NBA:

Lamb - 9/28 FG, 6/14 3P
Marshall - 10/25 FG, 6/14 3P

On the Suns board one of them is worth a starting center on a good contract, the other one a 2nd round draft pick ;)

I don't think people expect us to get the #1 pick but this is pretty much a 3 person draft and the fear that we're not going to be in that top 3 is unsettling since some of us do not see this present team with a couple of added pieces competing for a championship.

Lesson learned from this game is Goran's ability to be effective as a 2.

He is a very good, very crafty player. His play style is not exactly the same, but the craftiness is Ginobili-esque. We need to keep Dragic.

Nice try. You are comparing Lambs 64 minutes played against Marshalls 129 minutes. Thats more than double the time Marshall has had to put up close to the same stats! Lamb also plays this thing called defense. Its something that Marshall has never played going all the was back to HS. There are 2 ends of the court, and the stats you posted only show one. :wink:

I was comparing the efficiency, not volume!

Well, since you are asking...

According to the Synergy Marshall is the best defender in the league (true story) and is giving up 0.53 PPP (51 plays). Lamb is not a bad defender himself but his Synergy stats are significantly worse - allowed 0.71 PPP (21 plays).

On/Off court comparison:

DefRtg Marshall on court - 104.4
DefRtg Marshall on bench - 104.7

DefRtg Lamb on court - 115.7
DefRtg Lamb on bench - 99.6

As you can see, the Suns are slightly better on the defensive end with Marshall on the court, meanwhile the Thunder are playing a horrific defense with Jeremy Lamb on the court.

Yes, I know it's a way too small sample size to prove anything ;)
