We gave up a better player, who was younger and on a better contract... and we threw in a pick on top of it all. Words cannot express.
Words can express.
Dragic in Phoenix that season was : 7.4 PPG on 49 TS% and 46 EFG%, with a 11.2 PER, 27 AST%, 21 TOV%.
That's beyond pathetic.
Brooks in Phoenix was a much better : 9.6 PPG on 53 TS% and 49 EFG%, with a 15.6 PER, 35.3 AST%, 16.4 TOV%.
Brooks was way better with us than Dragic that season, the pick we gave up amounted to pretty much nothing, and if we didn't trade Dragic, he remains a scrub.
If he wasn't sucking so bad we wouldn't have had to give up a pick to get rid of him. Brooks was also having a bad season in Houston, but he accomplished a lot more than Dragic had in previous years.
Getting traded to Houston was the wakeup call Dragic needed to pull his head out of his ass.
Gentry was coddling him way too much, going too soft on him when he was playing like he was drunk. Dragic decided to not give a frack on the court anymore once Barbosa got traded and there wasn't much more competition for backup PG, he needed to go. Minutes are earned, not given.
But of course it's so much more entertaining to bitch over everything.
