Anyone here interested in Harrison Barnes?

Post#1 » by immortalone23 » Sun Aug 4, 2013 3:31 am

Pretty soon, after Thompson is give his extension; HB will need one as well.... MCD has done an amazing job so far as GM. Maybe a "James Harden" type trade to get HB.... because GS could face the luxury tax a couple years down the road... what do u guys think?

IM INTERESTED IN HARRISON BARNES AKA FUTURE SUPERSTAR.

I hope once Bogut gets injured, they come looking at us for a capable C and we put together a nice package featuring Gortat and other assets for Barnes.

Golden State has him on a miniscule contract for 3 years, barring someone blowing them away with an offer I dont think they will consider moving him until he is near extension time.

That's true but it could be another okc thunder situation..... with a barnes extension, there could be luxury tax implications. But would bird rights cover it???????

GSW has no need to trade him now. His value will go up by the time they need to trade him or Klay

A's over Royals. Lester and experience will prove that he's worth the trade.

Tigers winning it all. Tigers are, imo, peaking at the right time.

Even if they have to worry about that tax that wont be for another three years when his extension would kick it, its two year before they even have to consider negotiating. They also got Curry on a bargain of a contract and Bogut and Lee's contracts will have expired by the team Barnes would be up.

IF Barnes ends up being a max worthy player I am sure Golden State will deal with that "problem" when the time comes. Until then they have a young dude with three years left on his contract, there is absolutely no reason for them to think about moving him right now.

Yep, if a Harden-esque trade does happen, it won't be till the last year of his current contract. No need to trade him now as it seems highly unlikely his value will drop barring a freak occurrence.

It's unlikely it will happen but let's face it, crazier things have happened ;)

I`d rather wait for next year and draft our future small forward (Wiggins, Parker, Robinson, Hezonja...) than pay a premium price in trade for Barnes now.

In the meantime we can go for some underused wing prospect like Jordan Hamilton.
