NBA standings predictions!

Post#1 » by phrazbit » Tue Aug 27, 2013 11:36 pm

Alright, league's rosters are pretty much set, not much to talk about. So lets talk projections!

All 30 teams, win/loss records. Whoever is the most accurate at the end of the year gets a cookie!

For the feint of heart you may take the option of just guessing the West, but you are ineligible for the cookie.

For those who want to aim for the extreme of accuracy; the league plays 1230 games a year, so your total wins added up league wide should hit that number.

All that matters is we and the experts all agree that it's a 3 way race between us, Orlando, and Philly for Andrew Wiggins.

Wiggins has that 'bust' vibe of a name.... don't know enough about him as a player to be able to tell what I think a for sure on it but if the Suns get one of the top 3-5 picks I think they will get a really good player. About 25 wins seems about right for them.

I think the league is going to have a huge gap between the top dozen teams and the bottom teams. The good teams got stronger and the tank brigade is in full effect with the non-playoff teams.

Alright, I'll make some predictions..

Spurs 57 25
Rockets 54 28
Grizzlies 53 29
Thunder 52 30
Clippers 51 31
Warriors 48 34
Mavericks 44 38
TWolves 42 40
Blazers 41 41
Nuggets 39 43
Pelicans 38 44
Lakers 33 49
Kings 27 55
Jazz 26 56
Suns 19 63

Heat 60 22
Nets 59 23
Bulls 57 25
Pacers 55 27
Hawks 45 37
Knicks 44 38
Wizards 41 41
Cavs 40 42
Bucks 39 43
Pistons 38 44
Raptors 37 45
Bobcats 30 52
Celtics 25 57
Magic 24 58
Sixers 12 70

I do think the Thunder will be as good as anyone in the west by the end of the year though, if healthy. And I think Brooklyn has a very good chance of making the finals if they are healthy.
