"The Plumber cleaned that one up off the rim"

"The Plumber Flushes it down"

I can dig it.

I don't like simply GIVING players nicknames, because they have to be earned or come naturally from some specific instance or quote from an announcer that catches on or something, but The Plumber works if we have to do such a thing.

That's not a nickname. That takes way more effort to say than his actual name.

No!

That just makes him sound like a gay superhero.

Maybe golden state will offer something good for him?

Yeah it does. If the offense is stopped up call the plumber. The plumbers making a mess on defense. The plumber won't let that flush go down. The plumber clogs the middle. Bad game for miles tonight the plumber shows his crack.

There are a number of runs one could do with Professor Plum as well.

Professor Plum in the air with the throw down.

Professor Plum in the kitchen with the flyswatter.

I could hear Al McCoy do a bunch of these. :D

I just remembered this observation, and was wondering if anyone else noticed something hilarious when Dragic ran the Pick and Roll

Every time Dragic ran the pick and roll he looked to force the Blazers to switch. And who was the big man Dragic forced the switch onto?

Robin Lopez.

Even if Lopez was on the weak side, Dragic would dribble over to the other side of the court to force Lopez to switch onto Dragic. Then Dragic would then begin to dismantle our old clown onto pieces in an iso on the wing.

It was as if Dragic wanted Lopez guarding him every time, because he knew how tragic Lopez would be at
trying to stop him.

Found that absolutely hilarious that A, Dragic knew Lopez would be terrible, and B, Portland kept switching on the Pick and Roll even after Dragic had torn Lopez to shreds multiple times. Well done Coach..............................................

I did put it in a reply tweet where he was talking about nicknames, but I never thought he'd use it.

You really should be getting some kind of credit for it. Tom Leander mentioned it on the pregame show as if he'd come up with it. Obviously, he lurks these forums. I'll be disappointed (but not surprised) in the team if they actually start using the nickname, possibly even for marketing purposes, and don't give credit where it's due.
