If we want and expect him to become All-star level player, he should never play in D-League. I don't recall any star playing there. 10-12 MPG is enough for this season.

Per Coro:

Goran Dragic is expected to miss the next 2 #Suns games due to an ankle sprain. Alex Len (sore ankle) is day-to-day.

I'm a bit concerned about Len already having swelling issues.

Ah I see. Would have been nice to see Dragic play Wednesday to take some pressure off with it being a back to back and all.

It really depends on the player. I remember last year, Fournier didn't want to play in D-League and he convinced Karl to not put him there. That worked really well for him. If Goodwin is comfortable enough to go, then sure why not? But maybe that won't be necessary with Dragic out for the next couple of games.

Why not start Goodwin to fill in for Dragic? He doesn't have to play 35 minutes but I guess it could help him to play alongside Bledsoe or Frye for that matter who has the ability to stretch the D.

We need to realize the players we drafted are very young and inexperienced. We can't throw them into the fire this early into the season. Len isn't healthy enough at the moment and Goodwin is just all over the place. They need to practice, get a feel for the game, their minutes will slowly increase in due time. We have a long season to go and our rookies are really young. I don't mind what Horny is doing at the moment. We have plenty of time to develop those two throughout the season, he needs to solidify his rotations first.

I think in certain situations we should force feed Goodwin. Seeing Goran go down two games in a row and seeing we have capable people who have come in and looked respectible in Christmas and Green we should try to keep the rotation and playing packages that work together. Notice I said the ones that work meaning Marcus Morris can SIT THE F@#K DOWN!!! ......WHOOO.....Ok..... sorry had to get that out of my system.

That said, in trying to stick to the established rotations and seeing if we can catch lightning in a bottle while force feeding the rook and being able to rely on the bench guys if the experiment goes wrong.... I think we should start Archie in the NOLA game. If it isnt working then we bring in Geen and Dionte anyway, not to mention Ish has looked good in the time he has spent on the floor. Cant hurt, we arent going to cause any harm letting him get the start. Like I said, if it goes wrong we lean on the guys on the bench who have been playing well, but if it does work, he could take off!!!

Goodwin hasn't earned a start.

Let the kid watch and learn and get a bit hungry.

I'm sure he's learning a lot in practice.
