Re: Markieff & Marcus Morris
I'd be REAL surprised if one team gave them both offer sheets. I kind of doubt Kieff would accept an offer sheet from another team if he knew he could stay with Phx along with Marcus, and vice versa. I think they'd probably both choose playing together over a couple million dollars a year, as crazy as that sounds. Their goal is to play their entire careers together...there was an article about it. I think their careers would probably last longer if they play together as well, because they motivate each other.

"First, they fascinate the fools. Then, they muzzle the intelligent."

I'm still in complete shock about how these kids have completely turned their games around. I went from wanting to replace them both to hoping they will stick around because they are going to be key players in the future.
"Mannnnn I’m like the guy that pissed this whole board off saying literally all year no Mikal, no Mikal in the KD trade."

I do remember a good chunck of people being angry on draft day when we chose Markieff, they were saying we drafted the lesser twin again

I always thought it was the other way. I thought Kieff was the better twin since he had more size while having a similar skill. Marcus was more of a tweener (in the bad way) than Kieff.

Re: Markieff & Marcus Morris
Maybe Marcus IS the most talented of the two. You guys gotta remember Markieff has more nba experience by playing a lot more since he's been a rookie than his brother. Marcus didn't get much of a chance in Houston and that may have threw him off.
Now that he's getting consistent minutes, Suns are letting him play through his mistakes. That's something Houston didn't offer to him.
Markieff has been up and down with us but the Suns have still managed to stick with him and it's now paying off with both of them.
The Suns could have gave up with Marcus last season. They saw both worked their ass off this offseason. Just cool to have both push each other every day. Sky's the limit

The Gortat trade and finding Tucker was good too. Damn, Blanks was such a great GM
Every move can be offset by handing out contracts to Beasley, Brown and drafting Marshall.
Dont forget trading Goran and a 1st for Chris Rock.

Re: Markieff & Marcus Morris
I never thought we would pick up Beasley, but that trade would have been smart if it had happened. Pietrus got us nothing, we bought him out, we S&Td Lopez, and a future pick of Marshall wouldn't have hurt us.
Next, if Beasley didn't work out with Nash and Hill guiding him, then we wouldn't have signed him for three years. Moreover, we would not have signed Warrick, and possibly Childress, depending on who we picked at #20.
So while it may seem like a joke idea, it could have saved us $50 million in bad contracts. And if we did the trade before the twentieth pick, we could have drafted Faried.
Oops, I guess we would already have Warrick and Chilldress, so only a savings of Beasley's bad contract.

Admittedly I didn't do much research on the Morri prior to the draft so when we took a twin, my first thought was...well you know. Then I found out we took the bigger brother, so I kind of thought we took the guy who was better suited to be a big man than his brother.

All we need now is to trade for Marcus. With Morris twins Suns will be really, really stronger.

Lol and now everyone single one of those people who wanted to trade for Beasley, especially BH, would take a shotgun and fire it at him if they saw Beasley in their neighborhood

I would much rather keep Kieff. Marcus isn't as good and a little bit smaller so I don't know how he will pan out. He's what, 6'8? 15 pounds lighter than Kieff?

Good grief. It wasn't so much on draft day. Most people on this board were hating on the twins in October.

I always loved the Markieff pick. It was completely justifiable when the twins came out of college. Marcus was known to be the better of the two and we became the butt end of a Taylor Griffin punchline.
