Knicks fans and FO would trade for Dragic---period.

I bet most fans and FO in the NBA probably would as well....Suns ain't shopping him or trading him though.

The Rockets have honestly been the best in the league at developing PGs in the past 5 years. Kyle Lowry, Goran Dragic, Patrick Beverely have all turned into very solid players from the Rockets coaches.

I think his coming of age ceremony was in 2010.

When I saw that ****, I went from Rolo to Dragon in a heartbeat.

Goran and Anze Kopitar (LA Kings) are the most popular sportsman in Slovenia right now.

A very nice interview with Goran.

Even Dragic is talking smack about the Eastern Conference

Not me. I hated it from the beginning. One of the dumbest trades in Suns history. Up there with Kurt Thomas-for-nothing.

For reals. I was absolutely livid.

A little off-topic/on topic

Does anyone know how I can search my old posts/threads? It says I don't have authorization.

I'm trying to find an old thread I made when Dragic was a rookie.

No idea. RealGM's search/user functionality has been complete garbage and worthless for as long as I can remember being here. Makes no sense, really.

Didn't we get a conditional second rounder for KT and two firsts? :(

I didn't like the Goran trade either. What we gave up to get him in the first place, and then paid him better than Lopez. I didn't mind Brooks, but giving them a first, for what turned out to be a rental on Brooks was moronic.

The trade was an absolute stinker back then and the only positive that came out of it, was that Dragic got out of Nash's shadow and became the man. I don't recall everyone liking the trade. It was 50/50 at best in terms of positive reaction. What's worse is that, we all knew Brooks was up for a decent pay day and if we failed to pay him, we would've lost a young prospect and picks for a few months of Brooks.

Hehe... wasn't there an alleged story about Goran cutting his foot at one of his euro house parties? Labeled... an 'in home accident' ... He had his slovenia posse living with him for a while. Bunch of 'ragers'. Somewhere there was a pic of all them. Anyway, the lil dragon couldn't make a free throw either... 8-) The way it looks is his departure was the best thing to happen to him.

I welcomed Brooks but was sad to see GD go. ... and there is no telling what the outcome would have been had brooks not signed with a China team during the lockout. All those players to sign there had non-opt-out clauses so they couldn't return to the NBA until their season was over. WChandler, Kmart, and JRSmith also went, but they were allowed to return to rosters that yr. Brooks' team went to the finals, and they played on past the deadline to add players to NBA rosters. And if I remember, there was some sort of CBA snafu that said he had to play for us else we could not restrict his free agency...or something like that. So we couldn't even sign and trade him... We never saw him again in a Suns uni. He was the only NBA player who was effected like that. Cant blame him... he took the 2 mil tax free, but it was an eye poke to us, as we got him all of 25 games. It cost us the 23rd pick in 2011. Not one of Babby and Blanks' better moves,

ironic how things worked out eh ?

I hated that move. Absolutely hated it.

First, Brooks was the reigning MIP but the season he was traded to us he was struggling with injuries and bad performace, so even if Dragic was not playing well either, the most you could say here is that it was a swap of underperforming guards.

Second, Brooks was an impending RFA (while Dragic had one more year left) and was bound to be overpaid by somebody just on what he did on a mediocre Rockets team. Fortunately for us, the lockout happened and he chose to go to China.

Third, we were the ones who had to add the first round pick. Are you kidding me??

Man, those were some dark times under Blanks compared to what we have now.

Someone on here was saying something about him doing something stupid when he cut his foot with some glass before he got traded. They declined to go into further details but at the time that incident seemed to have been part of the reason for trading him. Anyone remember who was posting about that?

Sounds like it could be Traxxe. A lot of the long time forum members stopped posting here lately but I can't blame them for the way the team has been mired in mediocrity after Amare left.

We lost all the 'insiders' when loose lipped Kerr-plunk and his disgruntlng crew left. At one time I think we had 3 vetted moles. We may have had a lingering lip with Blanks, but mum was the word shortly there after. As for Dragic, the Front Office knew he was partying too much. I think his agent sent his posse home.

Nice to see some real pokerfacers running the show.

True that we haven't had insiders in a while. There used to be 3 or 4 a few years ago.
