I missed the game. I had an audition for drums in a band. Did we do a hack a Howard tactic? Houston shot 42 free throws? :o You aren't going to win many games where the other team shoots twice as many free throws as you do, when your team shoots twenty-one.

Rockets - 48
Suns - 23

Calling it now. Dragic was straight up there... no foul on Lin, but they called it anyway... cause why the **** not?

Pretty close on that. Man if we only got home court calls. :o

Harden dominates the ball too much. It hurts Lin's production and it would hurt Dragic's. The best thing is to put a catch and shoot guy next to Harden, like Aaron Brooks. That's why Isaiah Canaan was a smart draft pick too.

This doesn't make sense at all (from any player's point of view). I haven't seen any recent trade rumor involving any of our rotational players.

Exactly.

They absolutely need catch and shoot players alongside Howard and Harden. The perimeter is covered although upgradeable off the bench, but Frye makes terrific sense for them.

Still, I don't see the Rockets as a good trading partner, in no small part because I could see Morey trying to sell his spare parts like they are gold. Motiejunas, for instance.

They allow players to do it when they need to in order to land safely.

In these last two games i've noticed that offense has been sparking our defense. Our defense is better when these guys are making their shots. It seems like they lose their confidence to make shots and they play worse on defense after. I don't know if its thinking too much or worrying about letting everyone down but your defense has to be consistent. And our defensive intensity has dropped off as our offense has improved. On our normal nights our offense looks a lot better than it did at the start of the season. However, at the start when we were missing shots we were still going all out on defense now its not the same.

Indeed he didn't.

By the way, I think Frye should use more fakes, above all against well prepared team on D. I haven't seen the Hou game yet, but for instance Chicago did run really hard to disrupt Channing's shot. When this happens, he needs to fake and generate ball movement or take a more comfortable two, instead of rushing a 3pt.

They have lightened up a lot on hanging on the rim and slapping the backboard after a dunk. As long as you aren't showing someone up and talking a lot of trash they just wont call it. I like the change. Some of those things are just habits and aren't really players trying to show anyone up.

Jonathan Feigen ‏@Jonathan_Feigen Feb 5

Lin on Dwight's dominance: "They weren’t really doubling. That’s kind of not fair to some of the guys who were guarding him."

Its hard to double when the Rockets were hitting all their 3s so effectively though. 7-10 from 3s in the first half I believe. And Dwight's just too much for the youngsters Len & Plumlee.
