Chances of Dragic making an all-nba team

Post#1 » by Wagonband » Fri Feb 14, 2014 11:56 am

What do you guys think? The subject has been touched on in some threads, but i want to hear realistic thoughts here.

IM(biased ofc)O, these guards are locks - Paul, Curry.
the next tier - Harden, Wade, Dragič, Lillard, Parker, Wall, Irving

Maybe i forgot someone. But i really think if PHX makes it to the postseason, Dragič could potentially even be on the 2nd NBA team, but more realistically the third.

Has an all-star snub ever made it to an all-nba team? :D

no chance at all. he doesn't get the respect he deserves, but he is not a top 3 pg or sg, yet.

top 3 PG no, but I don't see how he's not a top 3 SG yet. You can say Harden is better, but who else? Derozan doesn't have the efficiency Dragic has, Wade's not having a great year at all, and Thompson shouldn't even be in the conversation this year.

If the Suns keep winning and Goran keeps dominating. Sure.

Who's the 3rd best PG this year behind Paul and Curry, Lillard/Parker? Even that's debatable. Stats wise, there aren't many players out there doing what he's doing at the moment.

Some might say Wall is the third best PG. And the Wizards are decent this year. That said unless they decide to load up the three teams with a ton of PGs, I think Goran has a good chance.

If we go off PER then Dragic is a no brainer.

But if we go by NBA analysts/polls/fan votes/player votes/GM votes/coaches votes or anything else thats associated with the NBA, then no, he will not be selected.

He doesn't have a chance. Not cause he isn't good enough but because of the politics of the NBA.
