If Nene is done for the season, how far does Washington drop in the east?

Considering they're 8-34 without him since he came into town, I'd say they are in serious danger of missing out on the playoffs. Wiz gon' Wiz.

Wiz fan here, what he doesn't mention is that a good chunk of those losses were without both Nene AND John Wall (from early last season). And though many of us have differing opinions on his value, Gortat does help as insurance against 'Nene Hilario's Annual 30-game Injury'

Washington has the easiest remaining SOS in the league, I think you guys' first-round pick is safe

I'm hoping they end up lower than 6th cause they're definitely capable of winning a series vs Toronto or Chicago in the first round.

Yeah as long as we don't land 7th-8th (obviously), we have to like our chances against anyone for the most part. I'm looking forward to our young guys getting playoff experience and possibly winning a series, it could be a great franchise boost ala Golden State last year

I hope you guys get a favorable matchup too. If I were PHX I'd be licking my chops to face Portland possibly in the 5/6 series, ever since their hot start they've been decidedly average. That defense is looking real vulnerable

Yeah, I liked our chances against anyone except OKC, that is, until OKC started playing a bit worse, but they will probably shape up soon.

But at this point we have to just worry about making the playoffs. We are now sitting in 8th and the Grizzlies have been on fire. We also have the toughest schedule left between us, the Grizzlies, Warriors and Mavs.

Wolves are only 3 games behind the #14 spot.
