Hello all,
I am trying to find some of the old songs that Tim and Willy performed, about the Phoenix Suns.
(If you don't remember Tim and Willy, they were long time radio DJ's for KMLE Country 107.9)
I've searched all over online... and found a couple links... one to a download that is no longer active:
kmle1079.cbslocal.com/2010/05/06/tim-and-willys-greatest-suns-hits/feed/
And one to a store, that no longer works (an error occurs at the time of payment):
engines.inexo.com/clients/timandwilly/
And that's it...
Does anyone know where I can still get these songs? Or does anyone have a copy?
Thank you!
Tim and Willy

This reminds me of a song that was on the local radio in the mid 90's about the Suns. It was the song "California Sun" by the revieras, but the lyrics had been changed to reflect the Suns at the time.

When Kobe Bryant hit a game-winner over Jason Kidd in Game Two of the 2000 Western Conference Semifinals, I reworked the chorus of "Gloria" (written by Van Morrison) to express my contempt for the Lakers ...

But needless to say, the Suns did not "hang it [a banner] up in '94."
Here's the contrast between the preseason expectations, as expressed in the music video, and how the season concluded.

The Suns won the first two games of that series on the road in Houston, but by the end, there was slippage almost everywhere on the roster, except for Kevin Johnson and A.C. Green (who had replaced Tom Chambers from the previous year). Of course, Danny Ainge still hit shots in the clutch.
Hakeem Olajuwon created so many problems, offensively and defensively, that the Suns made major changes to their roster in order to deal with him. Those changes nearly seemed to work the following year in 1995, but the Suns ended up blowing an even bigger series lead. Thus, still trying to combat Olajuwon and the Rockets in general, the Suns made even more changes. By the start of the '95-'96 season, only Barkley and K.J. remained from the team that had played in the NBA Finals slightly over two years earlier.

I didn't think we were necessarily the better team in 94 (and I believe came back from a 20 pt deficit in the 4th qtr in the first or second game). I thought we had a good chance to win the series after taking the first two games in Houston, but after they tied it up I thought we'd be hard pressed to win.
In 95 I thought we WERE the better team and if I recall correctly, think we were up 3-1 and game 5 went into OT and we lost at home, than lost game six and then lost with the Elie shot in game 7.
95 was probably my most heartbreaking year as a Suns fan, followed by 2007, where I thought we were the best team. Of course 93 was heartbreaking too.
