No competition for mins, no expectations, not as much hype as the '14 class and he will show his importance on the defensive end - whereas most ROY are almost always cos of scoring.

I can see Noel doing 12-13pts, 7-9rebs, 1.5stl and 2.5blk - that's elite defensive numbers.

He had an impressive summer league - knocked his FTs down at a much higher clip than was expected, you can tell he has a chip on his shoulder from going 6.

God I wish we had him over Len, even with him sitting out a year...

I'm not there...yet. I honestly think Len can turn out to be a top 5 C in this league. He's just more well rounded than Noel, and while Noel will no doubt be more exciting to watch, I think in the long haul, Len could develop into a special all-around talent...oorrr, he could bust out completely, but right now, I still have faith in Len.

As far as ROY, I'll go Parker as well. If he stays healthy, hard to imagine he isn't given starter minutes, and physically, he appears to be ready to handle the NBA.

For the Suns system, Noel would be more productive.... as he is a catch/lob dunk guy offensively.. a more agile Plumlee.

Defensively he is also more explosive, a chase down blocker...or a help from weak side blocker.

Len would develop much better in a Spurs-type offense, where the ball goes in and out.

Suns have ball dominant guards and non play making forwards... so it'll be a longer development cycle for Len this way.

I think Len is more athletic than many give him credit for. No, he's not Noel athletic, but as soon as he gets more comfortable in our system, I think he will 'look' quicker as well.

It probably will take him longer to develop, true, but I still think he can fit well into our guard-dominant system.

All that said, I can see why Noel would be more attractive, especially early on, but I'm holding out hope for a year or two down the road, and if he does breakout, it will be nice to have that big-bodied, strong, yet 'agile' 5 in Len...a guy that will be able to bang better against the bigger 5s in the league, and that's where I see Len's advantage over Noel.
