Start Marcus Again?

Post#1 » by Barkley6 » Sat Dec 13, 2014 2:47 pm

Not sure if there is a correlation, but Suns are 10-8 with Marcus starting and 2-4 so far with PJ as the SF. Granted IT was out for a lot of that time as well, but I think the Suns recent struggles are not due to a lack of talent, it's just that the talent isn't being maximized which tells me we need to shuffle the lineups a bit. Just tossing this out there.

Starting Tucker or Marcus is no difference to us. What we need to do is start Alex Len. I would consider starting Green to shake things up.

You can shake up the lineup anyway you like but it won't make a difference. We have a selfish team that doesn't pass the ball around and can't get a rebound to save their lives.

Don't start Marcus. That's a bad thing IMO. But if we're going to continue to start Plumlee, stop with the force feeding. Feed the ball early to our scorers, especially Markieff. Plumlee is a horrible option on the pick and roll and the only offense I'd use him for is putbacks and fast breaks.

Start Warren? Or at least get him in the rotation?

Doesn't matter. Inconsistent offensive players leads to inconsistent play game-to-game which leads to a 12-12 record.

If we started Marcus again, I would hope it would be in place of Plumlee not Tucker. We'd be small, but everyone is a scoring option. But I agree with many that we don't share well with others. Well except the other team, dang if we don't throw the ball right to opposing players. That inbound pass by Len that caused a three before half, literally could have been the game. Markieef did the same thing while running the floor.

We are often lazy with our passes. We need to come to passes, and we really need two guys crashing the boards. Too many of our guys shoot fade aways, and just are out of position for rebounds.

I really wasn't expecting much out of Thomas because he just got back, and it looked like Jeff was trying to make up for the loss of minutes, but IT and Green were in too long in the fourth. Neither were shooting well.

Marcus starting is not the solution to anything. With Tucker's improvement on the 3, I don't think what Marcus is better than Tucker at other than maybe a move or two more on offense. I'd take Tucker's defense over Marcus offense any day of the week.
