My cousin and uncle were cops, and my cousin still works with law enforcement. Asking for a fair system, where those assessed with serving and protecting, possibly going over the line, and being held accountable, in no way means I hate police officers, or don't care if one gets killed. It is an absolute moronic thing to suggest.

Well, I feel bad for your relatives then.

Basketball matters here people. Particularly the basketball game between the Knicks and Suns. Can we move this discussion to an appropriate (Off Topic) thread?
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Yeah, go sports. Too bad the Suns players never got that memo.

Welp, looks like they got their wishes. My guess is that won't suffice.

It all depends on how you interpret what the media reports. Pointing out cases where there is clear abuse, discrimination, or highly questionable actions, doesn't mean they are implying that all cops are corrupt. That is like saying I hate Hornacek because I question his rotations.

Oh well, I've done a fair amount of research into other cases out of Ferguson even before the Brown shooting. It's pretty disgusting. Cleveland has had similar issues, and NY more similar issues, where overwhelmingly the black community is considered guilty. In Ferguson the black population is arrested, pulled over, and searched way more that their population should suggest. And when searched for contraband the black community is less likely to have such, compared to the white population. It's happening all over the country, and just because the media doesn't point it out, it seems that many don't think it exists, or f*ck, it's ok.

The consequence for selling loosies should never be an illegal chokehold which the medical examiner calls a homicide. Furthermore, a prosecutor should be looking for ways to keep a police officer, who committed a crime themselves, from trial. It's all caught on video. There isn't a question about what may or may not have happened. It's clear, the cop chokes Garner. What the cop did is a felony in NY.

The cop that shot the kid in Cleveland, should have never been a police officer. His previous supervisor suggested he be fired long ago. And the other guy killed at Walmart is caught on video as well. No reason for him to be killed either. He never points the toy at anyone.

But we see on video guys at the Bundy ranch pointing weapons at federal officers, are they shot and killed? Nope. How about the guy in CO, dude kills 12 wounds 70, yet taken without killing. Justin Bieber resisted arrest, so did Woody Harrelson. Dead? Nope. Zsa Zsa, slaps a cop, dead? Well not from the cop. :)

All I see on the internet is people saying this was justified and revenge for that accidental killing.

A few things to consider, RunDog:

1. The guy was breaking the law and had many times before.
2. He resisted arrest.
3. He was severely overweight and had a medical history. Doubtful that chokehold would have killed or even injured most people.
4. A black officer was on the scene yet it's the white cops who get all of the flack.

I don't intend to go all political, but when the Suns got involved last week, they rightfully so pissed off a lot of fans.

And that's really all there is to it. I wouldn't have posted what I posted in this thread had it not been for Suns players (and other moron athletes all across all other sports) thinking they needed to chime in.
