I expect the Suns to finish 8th to 10th, but I would not consider the team to be "treadmilling" at all...

-The McDonough/Hornacek regime has just been in place for about 19 months, and already getting good results.
-Loaded with young (yet to peak) talent...a true center just taking off
-Many assets ready to parlayed should good deals present themself
-Talent stashed in Europe
-No bad contracts
-Good overall salary situation

...the West is (all-time) historically good, but the Suns are one good trade away from moving into "the conversation". Even without a breakthrough trade soon, with the number of "prospects" the Suns have on the roster, this team will likely get markedly better over the next couple/three seasons.

This team is going somewhere good...not on the treadmill at all. I never had high expectations for this year, so finishing basically the same as last year doesn't bother me.

If by prospects and young talent, you mean Warren, Len, Goodwin and Ennis, only one of them is gettin playin time. There are too many guys ahead of each and every one of those guys. No player has ever developed in sports history by riding the bench.

If anything, players and their careers have been destroyed due to not getting the proper guidance and developing opportunities when they were young.

Bledsoe, Keef, Mook, Thomas, Len, Goodwin, Ennis, Warren, Zoki and even Plumlee are all young and still developing...all prospects in a sense.

Goran, PJ and Green are the only in their prime now players.

Bled, Keef, Mook, Thomas, Len and Plumlee are the first talent wave getting their due time now.

You cannot have a rotation of more than 10 players...well? If you want to win you can't. So some of our prospects are going to have to sit.

Would you feel better if the Suns 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th players were 30+ year olds..."keep gettin' dem checks" guys?

These young guys having to sit is what you get when you have talent top to bottom. This wealth of young talent seems to anger you...I don't get it. So you can blame McD for your angst about the Suns roster situation, well before blaming Hornacek's usage.

It sounds like you either want Horny to have a 13 or 14 player rotation, or are you ready to flat out bench the "old guys" that are in their mid to late 20's. Which is it?

Ennis, Goodwin, Warren and Z. Dragic will get there chances eventually whether it's on the Suns or elsewhere. The first three should still be in college...there's plenty of time for all of them.

My problem is that we have all this "talent from top to bottom" and yet can't even make playoffs. Does that mean we have bad coaching?

I don't know about benching the old guys, but I sure would like to see guys like Green traded if that opens up time for others. Especially since Green probably isn't in the Suns long term plans.

As to you saying Warren & Ennis should have stayed in college, most draft experts and analysts thought of those two to be among the most NBA ready players of the draft. It's not their fault they got drafted by the wrong team.

everytime a big steps up his game, team gets rolling. i just love Len and his game right now. he has that feel for the game that Plumlee will never have.
