I wonder if he's even going to see much time. Probably just a garbage time player now.

Yeah, depends on Mirza's health. Or maybe he will exceed the expectations.

I was pretty excited at the idea to see him get time with us initially. Figured he was a 'gem' McDonough was able to acquire. He probably got him for depth which, when you think about it, wasn't a bad move for us. A useless 2nd round pick for a role player who can actually be a good part of the team. Whether it's in game action or practice.

Re: Jon Leuer Thread
He's gonna have a surprise season like Miles Plumlee did when he first got to Phoenix. He's gonna drill threes, crash the boards, and all the small stuff. Watch him play like Kevin Love-lite.
Or he'll warm that bench so good that after the timeout huddle everyone fights to take his seat.

So you think he will play ahead of Teletovic?

Re: Jon Leuer Thread
^No, I don't think he will play ahead of Teletovic. But I think he might get some spot minutes here and there, especially if we got foul trouble with Len. Basically I think he will be a solid hustle player when given minutes.

Re: Jon Leuer Thread
If I was Horny I would sit down with Kief, Teletovic, and Leuer and tell them the starting and backup PF roles are up for grabs. Whoever works harder and meshes with Chandler, Bledsoe, Knight, and the rest of the team is gonna earn the minutes. Kief should be guaranteed nothing at this point.

Markieff is by far the Suns best PF.

A's over Royals. Lester and experience will prove that he's worth the trade.
Tigers winning it all. Tigers are, imo, peaking at the right time.

Maybe on paper ... but if he's not gonna be a team player and argue with the coach and get teed up by the refs and be disconnected from the rest of the team and fan base then he wouldn't be the best PF option.

Re: Jon Leuer Thread
I never heard him being disconnected from the team.
I thought Marcus was the one arguing with coach.
Markieff has improved yearly I don't see any reason not to start him if he's on opening day roster. Suns screwed if someone like leur starts

Re: Jon Leuer Thread
There's no way Leur would start. Teletovic is a much, much better fit with the starting unit. He's a stretch four with legitimate PF size. On the right night, he can give the team 20+ points. On other nights, he can play solid defense and catch-and-shoot from deep. Leur is perfect energy guy off the bench. He's a solid, but unspectacular backup big, whose biggest value probably lies in practice and in injury insurance against the guys ahead of him on the depth chart.

If Mirza is healthy, he'd be my starting 4.

Yes definitely. Markieff has better tools to be sixth man.
