Har har har. TJ's probably keeping Horny asleep at night as he tries to figure out who starts. There's no doubting TJ can get completely lost at times defensively, but you could probably say the same for PJ offensively. What does the starting lineup need? Probably the defense, in my opinion.

Also side note, TJ and PJ share the same given name: Anthony. PJ is Pops Junior and TJ is Tony Junior.

And just to clarify, if you want to stop being outraged: I don't expect either Sims or Jefferson to get any minutes at all in the rotation. They just look like good pieces to have down the depth chart. But please, continue being outraged.

You haven't seen my outrage yet, if Sims or Jefferson are cut in favor of Warren, I'm gonna shut this forum down with my outrage.

Sims and Jefferson have a lot of potential, I can't believe you don't see it. Other than Bledsoe, may be the two highest valued players on the team.

If I were to spend my hard earned money on the jersey of any Suns player, it would probably be Sims or Jefferson who btw will play huge role for us this year.

It's beginning to sound like you are serious. TJ has been our best player in the preseason. The guy is straight out balling. It seems like you are trolling but I guess not. I'm not sure what you have against TJ. Sure he could work on his outside shot but damn, the guy is all over the place, stealing the ball, getting put backs, being exactly where you need him to be to grab a board, get a steal, or get that pass to finish the play.

I thought it was sarcasm too. Even though we didn't shoot well, our defense looked good, as well as our ball movement.

FG% 42.% to 36.7%
3pt fg% 33.3% to 8.7%
Assists 25 to 16
Steals 12-8
Blocks 9-5

Of course it seems like those who thought we looked terrible only watched a small part of the game, so that explains quite a bit. It was definitely a slow start.

I only caught the last 8 minutes of this one but I have a few thoughts:

- Alarm bells are starting to ring for Knight. All we can do is hope this doesn't carry over into the season
- Our superstar PG Sonny Weems once again had more assists than BK
- Mirza +18 in 15 minutes with 4 dimes. That's the most promising takeaway from this. We're getting good looks from the bigs. Gravity indeed, is a real thing. We don't even need to be shooting well all the time, we just need that space opened up by Mirza and Jon (+potentially Kieff)

I'm worried about him and his fit on this team.

I am worried too.
He is terrible running the team and making plays in the pick and roll/pop.

Regarding Warren, I think he played another good game. Our best scorer in preseason and really good in two other categories: offensive rebounds and steals.

Markieff played great, he was really focused and if he plays with that intensity all the season I really think that he can average around 17-18p per game.

Some observations from last night:

- Alex played great offensively, carried us early on.
- Felton tore us up. Alex adjusted in the second half by backing up more when he drove on the P&R, but Ray was pulled almost as soon as we made that adjustment. Nice work, Rick.
- Knight just didn't look comfortable. Hopefully it comes. He, and the rest of the team, were missing open looks they should make.
- Speaking of open looks, I had no problem with our offensive scheme. It was much improved, but we were missing open shots.
- Coach has said that PJ does things that don't show up on the stat sheet, which, over the course of the preseason, has proved at least half true.
- Bledsoe was playing with a ton of intensity the whole game. I was very impressed. He was so pumped, all his free throws went straight over the backboard and into the crowd!
- Is TJ our best player?
- Memo to coaching staff: JON LEUER IS NOT A CENTER. I swear, every time I've watched him play center this preseason, we get torn up inside. Dude has played great for us as a power forward, but if this preseason has taught us anything, it is never player Leuer at the 5. Stop trying to make it happen, it's not happening.
- I fully expect Booker to replace PJ in the rotation next season. As in, TJ and Weems at the 3, with Devin as the back-up 2. A season after that, I expect him to start.
- Jefferson > Sims

Are you serious? I would be fine if neither of them played a single minute.

I'm not serious man. Even the guy I initially responded to, PackSuns, figured it out.

It's more of a joke based on what happened in the last game day thread.

He is trying to troll me. TJ is the real deal. Can't wait for the season to start. I hope politics don't keep him off the court.

Oh, ok. I thought you were joking at first but then were not sure since you sounded serious.

TJ will probably make the All Defensive 1st team this year. Wait and see.

I too, am starting to worry. This could turn out to be a complete failure of a trade by McD. (See, Frank, I CAN be objective and don't always jump to defend McD. Overall, I still believe McD has done an admiral job, just that this particular trade may come back to haunt us. Anyway...)...back to the original point. Horny us going to have to figure out how best to employ Knight, and if that ends up being mostly at times when EB is NOT on the court, than so be it, so long as he's used in a positive manner that helps the team more so than hurts it. And if that ends up being only 22-24 minutes a game in a '6th man' role, then again, so be it. That would be disappointing, to say the least, but I'd rather go that route, than force the minutes to Knight and causing us to lose games.

I know it's only preseason, so we'll have to wait 12-15 games to see how things turn out before we go into the sky is falling mode.
