Bad game . we loose from a euroleague team roster . dallas has not big names anymore .
knight & chandler MUST give 100% of their passion.

not any more comments for this poor game with so many garbage time. Warren,Booker, archie will be considered now as a 'ready_NBA_player' .

its all about proud.

Projections mean diddly squat. We have NO idea how good or bad the Mavs will be, nor the Blazers. We could start 0-2, the forum blow up even worse than this game, and 5 months later the Suns could be 46-36, with the 8th seed, behind the 6th and 7th seeds, Dallas Mavericks and Portland Trailblazers.

Or, we could start out 1-1, destroy the Blazers, everyone here 'flying high' about how great our young players looked, Knight with 22 pts, 8 assists, 3 rebounds, and 3-4 from the 3 Pt line and 5 months later, end up 25-57 and drafting top 5.

Point is, nobody has no idea what's going to happen, and the result from next game won't likely mean a darn thing either in the greater scheme of things.

As I believe I probably alluded last year about this point in time in the season...we really won't have a good idea of where we stand until at least 25 games into the season, and even that could change, but at least then we'd have empirical evidence to base our assessments on, not one game and meaningless projections from sports writers.

Um yea we do. Even Mavs fans know that team is not going to make playoffs.

Just because the Suns were an exception to projection 2 years doesn't mean their wrong all the time. Their usually right more often than not.

Warriors, Spurs etc will make playoffs. Mavs, Lakers, Twolves, Kings etc won't make playoffs. If any of those things doesn't happen, it would be a huge surprise.

Mavs are a garbage team especially without Parsons, even their own fans are in this thread saying it as well.

I wouldn't be terribly surprised if any western teams grabbed those last two spots. They all have some roster issues, and the Pelicans have so many injured guys it's scary who they are putting on the court. I think it's kind of a crapshoot outside of the top six. Even the Grizzlies looked terrible, losing by 30 at home.

I think the east is somewhat similar. After the top 4-5 teams, I don't know what to expect.

I think the Lakers probably have the worst team in the west though.

Tell me then, why don't they just place all the teams, based off their roster and projected output from players, and start the Playoffs tomorrow. I mean, why even play the games if we all already know what the outcomes are supposed to be?

And tell me this, based upon whatever/whoever's projections you are going off of, where are the Suns supposed to finish? I'll save you the trouble:

CBS: 41, 42, 42, 38 (Dallas 30, 32, 33, 33)
BR: 37 (Dallas at 32)
SI: 41.3 (Dallas at 41.2)
FOX: 36.5 (Dallas at 38.5)

So one, I fail to see where the Suns are supposed to be a powerhouse that can just destroy the Mavericks at will, and two, our highest projection is 42 wins, and 42 wins, 40 losses are not likely to get us into the playoffs. I recommend, SF88, that you not bother watching this season, since it's been forecasted that we will likely be a sub-.500 team this year; we'll let you know when to come back when the Suns are projected to be an 8th seed or higher.

You've already come to the conclusion a to where the Suns should rank, so I'm not even sure why you would be upset that we lost, since most projections have us about equal, or within 5 or so wins, with the Mavs.

And btw, [green font] for the last two paragraphs...

That's the way the whole narrative goes these days with the analysts though. Everything seems to be predetermined. "Who will get the 8 seed? We know who will get the top 7 seeds." I think this sucks....it's fairly accurate if teams stay healthy, but it makes the league a bit more boring. I wish there was more parity. With the NFL, for the most part, the teams are fairly equal. Baltimore nearly beats New England in the playoffs last year before New England wins the Super Bowl and are 2-6 this year. Minnesota is terrible last year and now 5-2. Seattle at 500.

Sure a few teams are always there like New England, Denver and Cincy lately, but that's about it.
