Not in my book. Maybe top 15 all time. I guess you can say he was most MJ like after MJ. Several better players since though.

Several as in maybe 2? Only the Big Fundamental and the King have a convincing resume to supplant him as the #1 of this era.

I'm not talking entire careers of guys I'm thinking of. The first two better players (championships or not) I thought of were KD and LJ. But yeah, Duncan for sure. KG was a better player too. Curry is probably at this point in a different stratosphere than Kobe ever was too, and the teams he has been leading are better than any Lakers team even with the Kobe and Shaq.

But I admit I am biased. I've never liked the Kobe/Melo type of game.

That under-the-basket dunk performed during the first 4th QTR timeout by that Canadian guy was awesome.

The all star game stats has become a joke...

Because of the severely lack of defense and pretty much anyone allowed to get a dunk when they get the ball close enough... Its actually just became a practice... A full court low pressure laugh out with buddies practice...

Players scoring 40 points is not the same as old all star games where there was pride in winning the game hence some defense does get played.

There's no incentive to take it seriously, its a marketing gimmick dog and pony show. In the MLB the winner gets World Series home field advantage for their representative team.

Quick summary of Kevin Hart's commentary during the dunk contest about 6 different variations of "I do that dunk all the time" and 12 variations of "look at that guy's clothes, he can't dress haha" - even the commentary crew seemed to ignore most of what Hart was saying. Barkley's commentary 100 times more entertaining.

NBA needs to find a better way of scoring the dunk contest. Like giving extra points for the best dunk of the contest. Gordon's best dunks trump Lavine's. Kind of reminds of when Griffin beat McGee even though Javale had the best two dunks of the contest that year.

If the dunk goes in, they get Phoenix a no.1 pick.

How about getting ACTUAL dunkers on the panel?!

Shaq was all power, no style. Magic very rarely dunked.

T-Mac was fine, but where was Vince? JRich? Nique? Get guys who KNOW how difficult these dunks are..
