Re: Lakers @ suns
Kobe gave Booker his shoes after the game, where he signed "be legendary".
Booker gave Kobe his sweated underwear where he signed "more than you'll ever be, piece of" and then a sign pointing to a small brown stain.

Re: Lakers @ suns
Other than the abysmal 1st Quarter, that was a really fun game, especially that third quarter. It was a lot of fun rooting for the Suns to win again. Yeah, I said it. I was hoping they trounced the Lakers in Kobe's last game with us. I want his last memory of seeing this team to be a big, fat L. Great game by Booker and a pretty good game by Knight too (I know it's sacrilegious to say anything positive about him on this board). I'd really like to resign Mirza as he's perfect off the bench and seems to thrive with that role. We'll see how much he is looking for though.
I'm done worrying about wins and losses. We end up where we end up. I want our guys to play with heart and fire. I want to see them getting better and the something to look forward to for next year.
I'm glad the Lakers lost and I'm glad I won't ever have to see Kobe play this team again.

I am this point too. I really can't complain about the wins with Booker being the main guy, we end up where we end up, probably fourth. Booker is just getting better and better. Say the Sixers get the first pick, and offer it to us for Booker. I think most of us turn that down. I am at the point where I would turn that down and not even think twice. Booker looks that good and Simmons/Ingram aren't exactly on that Anthony Davis/LeBron/Towns elite #1 pick level.

That's the best you could come up with......
Don't you have a fairwell tour to attend to? Lol Lakers lurkers coming out of the woodworks, you guys were total soccer mom' s over his minutes under Byron but can't take the scrutiny when he's getting burn. Just rustlin' jimmies, sure he'll turn out fine
Maybe one day a player will want to stay with the Suns long enough for their fans to partake in a "fairwell" tour.
Booker is a nice player. Very, very high ceiling. You guys have a good one.
Same with Russell.
I look forward to the day Booker bolts Phoenix to become backcourt mates with D'Slow Bustell.

You mean when he is 40 years old and we are looking to fleece the Lakers for a few draft picks again? Can't wait for the day either

Touche.
But then you'll just trade the pick for Brandon Knight 2.0.

Booker with another monster game and Knight played a great game. Hopefully he embraces that sixth man role next season under Bledsoe/Booker...he can be effective on that role dominating bench players.
I will miss Kobe as an enemy, amazing memories.

Lol, Brewers, Packers, Wisconsin, Lakers fan. Why not the Bucks?
I look forward to the day the Clippers take over LA basketball.

The Clippers could win 10 straight titles and it'd still be a Laker town. Don't ever understate that franchise. It might've lost some luster when Dr Buss passed but they will eventually be back winning again.

He was born in 1930 and the Bucks were yet in existence, but when he became 17 years old, in a nearby state, the Minneapolis Lakers were founded, and played in his neighbor state until 1960, and with the Bucks not being founded until 1968, his fandom followed them to LA, and he couldn't change loyalties to the Bucks after that. Not even when they won the coin toss in 69 over the Suns to get Lew Alcindor. He was happy when Lew Alcindor, later known as Kareem Abdul Jabbar, ended up on his long time favorite team the Lakers.

I almost typed this same response earlier. What a waste of an asset.

Close. My great grandfather actually worked for the Minneapolis Lakers, moved with them to LA - half of my immediate family moved to Wisconsin and the other half stayed in LA. My first NBA game was at The Forum and yeah, that's all she wrote.
Your story is much cooler though. I'd be pushing 90 soon - that's awesome.

Interesting. So I assume you were a Lakers fan as a young kid perhaps in the 80s era when they were great with a team full of all stars for a decade and then you moved to Wisconsin by the time you were older enough to become fans of other sports. The Packers make sense regardless with no NFL team in LA, though I guess perhaps the Rams and/or Raiders were at some point when you were younger. OK, enough assumptions.
It is nice to find real fans, and I realize most here are, but one reason some Suns fans can't stand those who appear to be bandwagon Lakers fans is that there have always been (moreso in the past) tons of people in Phx who were bandwagon Cowboys or Lakers fans, and that is really irritating when you have a direct rival and Phx natives become fans of these rivals.
