That is the way virtually every team in the league plays these days.

What teams do you enjoy watching.

The two best teams the Spurs and Warriors run as much as the old Suns. They both just happen to have better defensive players than we ever had to help them create offense.

If you really do not like run and gun I would consider watching another sport.

Yes but that is self-evident observation, hence why its not all that groundbreaking anymore. Pace for its own sake is useless if you can't get back on the other end in time and don't have PGs who can properly push the break. We were near the league leaders under Horny, but that was mostly due to poor halfcourt execution, chucking and sloppy ball security rather than maximizing possessions the right way(generating turnovers and second chances opportunities crashing the boards). Dubs basically combined principles of the triangle offense, SSOL and Spurs Weak-Strong motion offense but its their interchangeable personnel small ball lineup that gives them the edge, thats where the league is heading.

I think small ball, not midget ball or twin tower ball, is what wins in todays NBA. This why I am not convinced that we will ever be successful going forward with Alex Len playing more than a reserve role. I also question whether or not we can afford to have both Knight and Bledsoe on the court together. That is why the 3 PG system failed. We had two midgets and Dragic and all three had to have the ball. If we end up with Bledsoe, Booker and take your pick (Buddy Hield, Jamal Murray, Dejounte Murray, Kris Dunn) rather than Knight I think we will be just fine depending who we end up with at the 4 and 5. I can also see us getting Denzel Valentine. He appears to be a younger better version of Tucker. Denzel averaged 19.2pts, 7.5rbds,7.8 ass with a 30.0 PER at Michigan State. We also need someone like Brice Johnson 17.0 pts, 10.5 rbds 35.3 PER at N Carolina.

I just do not see a starting lineup including both Chandler and Len winning many games for us going forward.

If Tucker is our starting SF or PF starting next season then Sarver should give a refund to every season ticket holder. I would suggest the same for Knight but a doubt we can trade him and I doubt that Sarver will just eat 56 Mil for nothing.

The old 7 SOL team was almost perfect in size and athleticism. I little more size would be even better but we must remain athletic while being capable of defending at every position.

Amare 6'10
Marion 6'7
Joe Johnson 6'7
Q'Rich 6'5
Nash 6'3

Unfortunately both Amare and Nash were not very good defenders so Marion and JJ tried to guard the other team.

Both the Warriors and Spurs are similar in size to the OLD Suns. As I said the big difference is that they both play far better defense.

I hope that whomever we pick in the draft is able to play both ends of the court. I think that is the real key to being a winner in todays NBA.

We really need to name a coach soon after this season closes, there is a lot of work to do and the new coach needs to be intimately involved in the upcoming player decisions.

The problem is that I am not sure that we are that smart.
