^as is Steph Curry right now.

20 seasons ago Michael Jordan was making 3.85 million, and the team as a whole was capped at a little over 23 million. That's less than what Kevin Durant, Hassan Whiteside, Demar Derozan, Al Horford, Andre Drummond, Dwight Howard, Mike Conley ($30 mil per WTF), Nicolas Batum, Harrison Barnes, Chandler Parsons, and Bradley Beal will each make next season alone.

The Suns fell into the right time to be bad/rebuild and not feel pressured to hand out ridiculous max contracts to 3rd, 2nd tier at best players for teams that are borderline or just decent playoff teams.

Imagine if Knight was an RFA this offseason instead of the last

He'd probably be looking at $18-20m per :noway:

That is good. Are you a tank or contend guy and there is no in between?

I'm not, but Van Gundy has left himself barely any room to maneuver with the roster he has right now. There are some nice players, but in order to be a contender he's going to have to find a taker for contracts like Leuer's, and I don't think there will be many in two years when Detroit has a legitimate shot.

I hate this move for the same reason I hate the Turner signing for Portland, it just complicates any future moves for a small bit of improvement now. It seems short sighted.

We may disagree about Leuer then. I think he is a solid backup PF who can basically do whatever he needs to do. He can hit the 3, defend, pass, etc, and that contract is nothing with this cap. It's about a tenth of the cap, and less next year. I'd rather have him on my team than Marcus Morris. I think he is perfect with Drummond.

I still cannot believe Leuer is getting 10 million a year....

SVG sees a Ryan Anderson lite in him obviously..

He is nowhere near a knockdown shooter from beyond the arc. Could be a decent Ilyasova repalcement tho

I think with the contracts being handed out he was a bargain.

Probably the most memorable moment from Leuer.
