+3: Tyler Ulis. Thought he ran the offence really well in the second quarter with the second unit.
+2. Brandon Knight. In a game which no one played well, Knight played slightly above mediocre.
+1. Those two Asian girls sitting behind Watson in the stands looked pretty nice
-1. Len. Not a great showing. Hes a black hole on offence, and made some dumb plays.
-2. Our system (Watson). Where is the "motion offence" and "multiple guys handling the ball?" I see an offence more stagnant than Antarctica
-3 PJ Tucker. Slow. Cant shoot, cant pass, cant defend, tries to do too much, cant dribble, got burned by Crawford on multiple ocassions, and probably heading for another Super Extreme DUI.

Re: Nashty & Cactus: Game 4 @ Clippers
+3 Tyler Ulis: The offense ran a lot better when he was on the court tonight. His shot wasn't falling and he had a tough matchup with CP3, but he's showing he belongs out there. He needs to add bulk for sure, Chris Paul feeling comfortable posting him up makes that evident, but once he does he will be a very good defender just because of how intense and smart he plays.
+2 Dragan Bender: I don't understand how he can only play single digit minutes when Len, Chandler, and Dudley were all in foul trouble. PJ Tucker does not need 27 minutes on the court, Bender should get at least half of that. He came in ready to play when Watson finally gave him a shot and did a good job on both ends.
+1 Tyson Chandler: Got called for A LOT of ticky tack fouls, but that's what happens when you play the Clippers these days. Him being out just shows how much he impacts our team, because the second Len comes in the Clippers shots get easier and our offense turns into long jumpers and terrible post moves.
-1 Earl Watson: I can't blame him for going to the bench a lot today, a lot of guys were getting in foul trouble so he had to play those guys more than usual. I do take issue with him riding PJ so much over Bender, PJ does not contribute enough to warrant 27 minutes, and Bender needs more than 7 to make an impact on the game. Sometimes I can't tell if it's the offense that we're running that is stagnant, or the players he has in/we have making it stagnant, because when Ulis runs the point and we don't hold the ball for so long it flows a lot better, but sometimes there's just nothing going. I liked him giving Ulis solid playing time today though, he deserved those extra minutes with Booker out.
-2 Brandon Knight: Got it done on scoring tonight, but defensively he was very bad chasing Redick all over the place and leaving his feet on his shot fakes just about every time. I don't like that the only way he contributes to this team is scoring, he slows down our offense almost every time he gets the ball to attack and create a shot for himself. It's no coincidence that he put up 0 rebounds, 0 assists, and the worst +/- on the team.
-3 Alex Len: He's just so bad. I hate how much he floats around in the mid-range despite having such a stiff, inconsistent jump shot, I hate how he is physically incapable of finishing anything around the rim that isn't a dunk, I hate his terrible post game that completely disappears once his man realizes that if he just gets a hand up and doesn't foul Len will toss up a terrible fading hook or some other garbage that clanks off the back board without even touching the rim. I was scared that we might extend him before the end of the night, especially seeing Adams, Dieng, etc. get their money, but I'm happy to say we've dodged that bullet thus far. Like I said with Tyson, the difference between lineups with Tyson and lineups with Len is night and day.

Re: Nashty & Cactus: Game 4 @ Clippers
+3 Ulis: I have a feeling he'll be up here a lot just for the fact that his pure-PG tendencies are a breath of fresh air. His teammates clearly love playing with him, and he is a joy to watch; what else is there to say?
+2 Chriss: Loved the aggression. It'd be chill if he didn't get in so many altercations/get a reputation for being ornery, but I appreciate his passion nonetheless.
+1 Bledsoe: I'd imagine this won't be popular what with the -20 +/- and the 5-14 shooting night, and I get that. I'm not sure he deserves any commendations, but someone has to get it, and I'm trying to abstain to giving it to players who play <10 minutes. At the end of the day, I appreciate his stat-stuffing, sound defense, and at least having some assists (ahem, BK). He may not be our PG of the future, but Eric Bledsoe has my respect.
-1 Tucker: I am done seeing PJ Tucker on the court. Earl, please play Bender instead. Thank you.
-2 Len: I thought today was going to be different based on the start of it for Alex, but I ended up disappointed. The footwork looked good for a second there, but it is almost more likely at this point that it was out of sheer luck than improvement. The airballed jumpers were a low just for the sheer amount of them. Just, whatever.
-3 Earl: Well first off, like I said, play Bender more please. On that note, bringing the starters back after one minute of the fun lineup was cruel and unusual punishment; Earl is losing me.
Side note: I loved the Clippers' announcing duo?? I feel like I had heard they could be homer-y but I felt that they had done their homework on us and at least showed mild interest in our players and success strangely enough.

How does Dragan Bender has such nice advanced stats already? he isn't doing anything on the court boxscore wise.
I think that projects extremely well for him, He is yet to put on stats but the guy somehow impacts the game, so far.

Re: Nashty & Cactus: Game 4 @ Clippers
+3 Ulis : Good God... just play him, Watson
+2 Chandler : not a great rim protector anymore, but just gets the job done
+1 Knight : terrible on defense but looked good when he didnt tried to pass the freaking ball (I'd like to put Bender here but not enough minutes to really impact the game)
-1 Tucker : Sad. Very sad.
-2 Len : Had some moments in the game but he showed why nobody should consider him a special big in this league
-3 Watson : You dont need a injury to play our young boys.

Every single player was meh at best, so it is very close between Ulis and Tucker.

I think Bender will be an advanced stats darling once he starts getting regular minutes, sorta like AK47 was in his prime.

I like that comparison but it's going to take time before his 3pt shot becomes consistent it seems but he has to find ways to contribute on offense, I don't like him just roaming around the 3pt line.
He is a good passer but I wanna see him drive and shoto mid range jumpers or do something else and not just be trigger happy from 3.
He can really guard the perimeter though and that's his biggest strength.

FWIW, the Clippers announcers were practically gushing over Len and Knight last night. Glad to know there are some in NBA circles who value these guys more than we do.
Ulis and TJ need to play together as much as possible. These two are made for each other.

+3 for Ulis
+2 for Bender
+1 for Chriss
-1 for LB
-2 for Knight
-3 for Tucker
Whenever I saw LB on the court he was chasing Reddick around but then he wasn't even contesting his shot. At least when Knight was guarding him he got his hand up. Knight can't play a lick of offense though. Tucker shouldn't play more than 2 minutes a game. He needs to retire so he can just be a player assistant coach.
Ulis looks good running the PG spot. He needs to be able to make some shots to stay on the court though. Chriss played very well I thought.

I'll abstain from voting in this one. Even tho I was watching, I wasn't paying much attention. Now the day after I can't even remember the game. Selective memory? Probably not the worst thing for a Suns fan to have.
