With that being said, idk. I'm not that high on Fox or DSJ. If we were to trade Bledsoe, I'd rather approach the Lakers with some kind of trade to get Russell from them, which might be easier with the expectation that they are drafting Ball, but also could be difficult if Russell is being used in a trade to help secure an star player like PG-13.

If we could say S&T Len, ship him to the Lakers for Russell, then trade Bledsoe for Favors/#24, all while keeping our pick, I would be ok. But trading Bledsoe and being somewhat forced to take Fox in the draft with our pick.....eh....I'm not really digging that.

If the lakers are shopping Russell, I don't think the suns can offer a better package then the 6ers though. They can offer them their 2018 pick back

But who says they would offer that and who says they would go after Russell?

Do trades even happen in the NBA anymore?

I'm with Kerrsed. I've always hoped Favors would turn the corner and become an all-star level player but it never happened. Being in the league already for 7 years and I'm not sure if he'll ever turn that corner.

Right I know. But I think Len gets over paid this offseason. Suns don't match because like you said, they just drafted two bigs.

Also, Chandler is old and doesn't fit your timeline at all.

A rotation of Chris's, Bender and favors is much more appealing. Plus you clear playing time for your Gs

I don't see how a frontline of Chris, Bender, and Favors is "much more appealing". I like Favors, but Len is not the bad fit many think for this team. He's a good rim protector and has upside as a rebounder. While his offensive numbers haven't rounded into form, he does have the touch to space the floor better than most centers. He's also very mobile, which is a big deal in our system. Favors is a better scorer, but we don't really need scoring from the 5 spot at all. We need rim protection and rebounding.

Len may get overpaid, but we can afford to match. Bledsoe is a borderline all star. In my opinion, he is MUCH better than all of the guys you listed--Favors, Ibaka, and Ross. Ibaka used to be great but he hasn't been that guy in a couple years now and Bledsoe is coming off of his best year.

More than all of that though, I'd rather have a single lottery pick to draft a big who is a better fit for our system (Patton, Lauri, Allen) who is locked into a rookie deal than Favors. And I think Bledsoe should be able to net a late lotto pick at worst.

There are the obvious injury concerns and the fact he will want to get paid in two years but what really complicates trading him is the glut of PG's in the NBA right now. There are a ton of good teams who already have an established PG and after this draft there will be plenty of teams with young PG's who they won't want Bledsoe blocking. When you go team by team there just aren't a ton of realistic Bledsoe destinations. That's why unless they are completely in love with one of the PG's at 4 I would draft a forward. Now if they do draft a PG I'm in the camp that you absolutely trade Bledsoe for what you can get this summer even if you have to take 75 cents on the dollar for him. It would be foolish to bring in a young PG and not hand the keys over to him right away plus you would have the 'when are they going to trade bledsoe' crap hanging over this team for the next year. I want none of that nonsense.

I agree. Bledsoe will only become less valuable as he gets older, all these young point guards develop and get experience, and he inches toward a monster contract.

Several teams right now could use him such as Dallas, NY, Denver and Utah. However, the first two and Sacramento likely draft point guards. If other teams face injuries they may want him but with his own injury history and upcoming contract it would be a hard sell.
