Sorry but Book will never average 29/11/8. Maybe the points.

to be fair, no one thinks a 6'5" will ever put up those kind of numbers. But Booker is an equally good rebounder, and better passer and probably better scorer than Harden was in his second season.

Last year I said I wanted to trade booker for harden and everyone crusified me!!!

Harden = top 5 player in NBA
Booker -= potential to be top 5 scorer In NBA

Depends what you want to do, you can get 2 All-Stars to go with Harden and contend immediately vs GSW, or you can build from the ground up to try be the next GSW.

Our next poll options should be Jackson, Bender, Chriss.

Suns with Booker--potential key cog to a title team since he's 20.

Suns with Harden--a drastically worse version of the current Houston Rockets, with next to no chance of beating GS, while occupying $40+ mil a year of the cap in the process.

You deserved to be crucified not because Booker is better than Harden (he isn't now obviously, but is compared to Harden at 20 imo), but because your desire to make that trade shows you are ignorant as to where this team really is and what it should be doing to get to a title contending level. Competing with the current West from our starting point by trading for current superstars who are 27+ is almost guaranteed to fail.

What 2 all stars? They were the GREATEST TEAM OF ALL TIME before Durant, and only lost that Cavs series due to a ton of misfortune and stupid play by an MVP followed by Lebron turning in arguably the greatest series performance of ALL TIME.

We'll see if they add Melo this year, but I don't see any realistic way that Harden plus any 2 remotely attainable all stars beats GS. Actually, LAC with Paul (who is arguably better overall than Harden or at least close to him) with 2 other all stars didn't contend with GS at all.

I don't think it's as easy as getting a couple all stars to contend with the animal that GS really is today. They have 4 hall of famers and 2 MVP candidates. Thus, the path isn't even really a decision imo. It is incredibly obvious, and I am confused by why so many are in a rush to do the first option.

There's also the fact that Houston wouldn't even think about making that trade.

Kyrie and James H are a tier or two better than current Booker.

Booker can match them jump shot wise... But everything else those guya are clearly better. Seen so many non Suns games to see the difference in skills and talent...

One day Booker can hope he comes close to those guys. Kyrie naybe easier to achieve.

The reason I choose Booker over Kyrie is, we already know what Kyrie can do when running a team (sans LeBron). Booker may never come close to the star Kyrie is but I'll take my chances since he's so young.

That said, I do realize Kyrie is the superior player and Booker may never come close to his talent level.

I would assume, you're starting nearly from scratch. The only players on the payroll are D-league callups, castoffs, late draft picks, and middling veterans. You have enough money to sign 1 max player, or you can do a S&T with a team for a young player and expirings. Aside from that, the conferences are equal and the coaches are open to playing whatever style suits the team the most.

However, start a franchise implies 'rebuild', which of course puts players like Devin Booker at an unfair advantage against players that are clearly better, but considerably older and have less room/time for improvement, such as James Harden or Kyrie Irving.

Someone want to run the numbers on Booker vs Malcolm Brogdan? Both SGs, probably around the same age, at about the same point in their careers. Brogdan just won the ROY for last season, and judging by his highlights looks pretty impressive.

Eye test seems that Booker has great offense with developing D, Malcolm is good at both O and D.
