Re: DBacks discussion

This game is nuts. It's so rare in baseball where loser is done and winner moves on. I mean of course all the wildcard games, but that is it besides any game 7s or final games of season for the last wc spot. But both of those latter scenarios are fairly rare.

And on top of that, the teams throw their best pitchers out there and the scoring is crazy anyway. Last night it was 4-3 in the first inning.

Tonight the DBacks up 6-0 and then a few innings later 6-5 and now 8-5 after a 2 run triple? They better win this.

There would be nothing better than knocking off the best record LA Dodgers in the next round, and despite using up our best pitcher in this game, I think we have been hotter over the last 40-50 games.

What a game so far. Let's close out the 9th inning painlessly and move on to the Dodgers please.

I'm sure you heard this but a team hasn't had 4 triples in a playoff game since a World Series in 1903.

Whew. Almost died after the triple from Archie.
Dear Lord.

This man is just completely unbelievable.

Too bad Goldschmidt couldn't get on or knock it out and then have Martinez on deck that would have been nice to pull it out and get some momentum. Oh well, hopefully they continue to get better next year with the state of the rest of the Phx pro sports teams.

Re: Diamondbacks and MLB discussion - Game 7 ACLS tonight, 5:08 PT

I've barely watched and MLB playoffs, but game 7s are always interesting, in any sport. Also it's been quite some time since the Dodgers and Yankees met in the world series, but they used to meet quite a bit. Not that I could ever pull for the Yankees, so I'll pull for the Astros. But Dodgers/Yankees would have crazy ratings.

Post-season history
1941 World Series: Yankees defeat Dodgers, 4–1
1947 World Series: Yankees defeat Dodgers, 4–3
1949 World Series: Yankees defeat Dodgers, 4–1
1952 World Series: Yankees defeat Dodgers, 4–3
1953 World Series: Yankees defeat Dodgers, 4–1
1955 World Series: Dodgers defeat Yankees, 4–3
1956 World Series: Yankees defeat Dodgers, 4–3
1963 World Series: Dodgers defeat Yankees, 4–0
1977 World Series: Yankees defeat Dodgers, 4–2
1978 World Series: Yankees defeat Dodgers, 4–2
1981 World Series: Dodgers defeat Yankees, 4–2

Wow, just saw the highlights of this game tonight. Crazy game. Most HR ever in a WS game, and the extra innings were especially crazy.

I flipped back and forth from this to the Suns game. Was a classic game, I must admit. LA seems to always win those types of games this year so it was a pleasant surprise to see the final outcome.

It's amazing how they always manage to land a clutch hit.
Just deflate the other team because you cant give them too much chance.

GO ASTROS
