Re: Tyson Chandler News and Discussion
People don't realize he was top or near tops in true shooting percentage and rebound percentage for all centers.

Which is why he has value and could really contribute to a contending team.

Re: Tyson Chandler News and Discussion
Given Chriss' rapid development I can see us letting Len walk and developing him as our future C. At 6'10" he has the length, the ability to attack the rim and protect the paint - all he needs is to bulk up.
I'd like to keep Chandler for the duration of his contract so that Chriss can play PF until his body is ready to handle C full time. This would also give Bender the opportunity to develop off the bench behind Chriss for a time until he is ready to start alongside him.
2017-18
PF Chriss, Bender
C Chandler, Williams
2019
PF Bender, ?
C Chriss, Williams

Re: Tyson Chandler News and Discussion
I would hate to give up on Len but if someone offers him a deal out of the Suns comfort range, then let him leave. Given the way the league is headed Chriss and Bender could effectively play center for 20/24 minutes a game, while Chandler takes the rest of the minutes.
I'd actually be surprised if Chandler wanted to stay. He won a championship already, but he can still be effective for a contending team. I wouldn't be hurt if he told the team in private he wanted to be traded. Just wouldn't trade him to the Spurs.

I'm sure a contending team would love to have him, but the problem is his salary. Contenders don't have much room. They'd likely rather use that money elsewhere, if they can use it at all.

He's been a huge positive influence on our young guys. That alone is worth the money we are paying him.

I find it weird that he has a nose piercing.

Re: Tyson Chandler News and Discussion
Im still fine keeping Tyson on the team to work on defense and on-floor communication. Holding teams to 17 and 13 points in the 1st quarter over the last two games has me intrigued. Also the third quarter scoring was lower as well. If Chandler can help build a culture of defense that we have not seen in the history of the Suns then he is worth keeping around through the duration of his contract. Still touting Bledsoe for an expiring and two future draft picks. Get it done McD.

I agree fully, love what he brings and Triano's rotation of he and Alex has been perfect, but I fear he has asked to go and his recent stellaf play is him showcasing himself to gain interest from another team. But if not, I want him here.
