After each Suns game, an MVP thread will be opened for you to vote for your top 3 players. These threads can be created by anyone, as long as there isn't currently a thread for that game.
Anyone can vote for the 3-2-1 (including other fans from other forums) but you can only vote for the Suns players (or coach).
3 votes to who you think was a the best Suns player. 2 for the second best and 1 for the 3rd best.
**EDIT: as of January something-or-other 2017, you can now distribute votes for the Nashty and Cactus however you please. You have a total of 6 votes to give out, but now you have the freedom to do what you want with those 6. The only condition which applies is no more than 3 votes can be given to one player (or coach) in either award. **
In the event of a Suns loss, you are also encouraged to vote for the Cactus of the game:
-3 votes for the player most responsible for the loss -2 votes for the second most responsible -1 for the third most responsible
Any votes with more than 3 players listed and not in the required format will not count. Voting will close before the start of the next Suns game.
After the thread closes, the votes will be tallied. The highest scoring total Sun gets 3 points, the next 2, and the third gets 1 point towards their season total. In the event of a tie in a count for a game, if the result of the game is a Suns win, a maximum of 4 players will be awarded points. A tie in the event of a loss will only result in a maximum of 3 players getting awarded points.
The player with the highest total at season's end wins the award!
The same applies for the Cactus of the Year, although of course the lowest tally at year's end takes it.
Nashty is hard
+3 Warren - not best shooting night, but staying active with 9 boards, 3 blocks, 2 steals and 2 assists +2 Len - again, bad shooting night, but for the 14 boards, 2 blocks, steal, nice assist to Dudley I think it was +1 Dudley
-3 Booker - looked disengaged...bad shooting night, 1 assist, 4 turnovers, fouled out -2 Chandler - 3 turnovers? Just 7 boards? -1 Ulis - not good shooting and not good for anything else...just 3 assists in 23 minutes along with 2 turnovers.
When asked how Fascism starts, Bertrand Russell once said: "First, they fascinate the fools. Then, they muzzle the intelligent."
+3 Warren - He did he best to keep us in the game but it just wasn't enough. 20/9/2/2/3 +2 Dudley - the guy comes in and we end their run and start a run of our own. The guy's BBIQ is off the charts +1 Len - for the 14 rebounds and good defense. His offense absolutely stinks though. As I said, the only time he should have the ball in his hands is if he's already rolling to the rim or he just grabbed a rebound.
-2 James - combined 24 shots attempts from our PG rotation on .38FG% while assisting on 5 buckets isn't good enough. -2 Ulis - combined 24 shots attempts from our PG rotation on .38FG% while assisting on 5 buckets isn't good enough. -2 Booker - started off very strong but when he got tougher coverage by the Nets, he just disappeared. In the 4th he was almost invisible. He needs to check his attitude
+3 Len: I think taking Len out for Chandler cost us the end of that game. +2 Dudley: So smart. +1 TJ: Needs to stop trying to drive from the 3 point line and no need for all those long 2's. Put your head down and push to the basket when they are in foul trouble.
+3 Warren played great again. +2 Fat Dudley still underrated as hell +1 Len had a Joakim Noah game. Getting OREB from his own misses.
-3 Chriss MEH, doesnt look like he belongs to the NBA. -2 Tyler Ulis regressing HARD... teams adjusted to his passing and now are making him a SHOOTER. -1 Triano bringin Ulis when Book fouled out was just NUTS.
"I got nothing to prove in this league. I’m a max player, and I’ll continue to be a max player." Five foot Eighton
“No matter what you do or how you do it, as long as you have true passion you will succeed.” Luis “WEEZY” Egurrola
+3 Warren (can't really complain here) +2 Len (bad shooting night, but solid everywhere else) +1 Dudley (one of the few high IQ players on our team)
-2 Booker (expected more from our star player in an easy matchup) -1 James (nothing more than an undersized chucker) -1 Ulis (he can't shoot well or defend) -1 Chriss (this guy is playing worse his second year...)
These threads are so pointless. For whatever reason Suns fans always need to find a scapegoat. Last year it was Knight, this year it's Chriss. Seriously, WTF is wrong with you people? At least try to be objective or don't vote at all.
