Nashty & Cactus: Game 12 vs Heat

Post#1 » by batsmasher » Thu Nov 9, 2017 4:23 am

Standings

How it works
Spoiler:
After each Suns game, an MVP thread will be opened for you to vote for your top 3 players. These threads can be created by anyone, as long as there isn't currently a thread for that game.

Anyone can vote for the 3-2-1 (including other fans from other forums) but you can only vote for the Suns players (or coach).

3 votes to who you think was a the best Suns player.
2 for the second best
and 1 for the 3rd best.

**EDIT: as of January something-or-other 2017, you can now distribute votes for the Nashty and Cactus however you please. You have a total of 6 votes to give out, but now you have the freedom to do what you want with those 6. The only condition which applies is no more than 3 votes can be given to one player (or coach) in either award. **

In the event of a Suns loss, you are also encouraged to vote for the Cactus of the game:

-3 votes for the player most responsible for the loss
-2 votes for the second most responsible
-1 for the third most responsible

Any votes with more than 3 players listed and not in the required format will not count. Voting will close before the start of the next Suns game.

After the thread closes, the votes will be tallied. The highest scoring total Sun gets 3 points, the next 2, and the third gets 1 point towards their season total. In the event of a tie in a count for a game, if the result of the game is a Suns win, a maximum of 4 players will be awarded points. A tie in the event of a loss will only result in a maximum of 3 players getting awarded points.

The player with the highest total at season's end wins the award!

The same applies for the Cactus of the Year, although of course the lowest tally at year's end takes it.

+2 Duds. Wasn't even paying that much attention to the game and still noticed him. 3 charges drawn. Lots of positive energy.

+3 Book: I continue to be so impressed with his ability to draw fouls.
+1 TJ: Eh. Not the best game, but a net positive out there for sure.
+1 Dudley: Loved Duds tonight. How he gets by with negative athleticism is truly a marvel haha
+1 Chriss: Hey, not bad! Terrible start (as always-- he really shouldn't be starting) but I liked his energy on defense at times. Plus 3 3s, gotta give it to him I guess?

-1 Bender: Not that bad of a game, but he got schooled by Kelly enough times to get the -1.
-1 Mike James: I feel like his hero ball tendencies can KILL runs we go on. :/
-2 Len: Early fouls were killer-- I know they were pretty meh fouls, but with Tyson out we needed a big who could rebound.
-2 Ulis: Some nice passes, but man it was a bummer to just KNOW that Dragic was going to own him whenever he was out there. 4ever missing u, Goran.

+3 Booker. I'd be so mad if I was him.
+3 Dudley. ILY<3

-3 Ulis. FU.
-3 Len. Go ahead and get silly fouls when we need you the most.

No turnovers from the following 3:

+2 Booker - Didn't shoot particularly well (9-23) but 6 assists with zero turnovers is the biggest plus from him. I can handle an off night shooting if he can get assists with low turnovers...but also got to the line and knocked a bunch down to get to 30.

+2 Warren - fairly solid with 16, 6 an assist, a block and no turnovers.

+2 Dudley - looks like he plays with ankle weights but productive across the board

-3 Len - Gets the start and has 6 pts, 3 rebounds and 4 turnovers? Pathetic

-2 Ulis - I don't know what to say...not knocking down shots, not getting many assists, but getting turnovers

-1 Jackson - I expect things to turn around for him and won't be complaining about him any time soon, being a rookie. I don't like putting rookies here as I don't have really high expectations quickly, but 3 turnovers in 11 minutes along with a couple of fouls is not good
