Nashty & Cactus: Game 15 vs Lakers

Post#1 » by bwgood77 » Tue Nov 14, 2017 4:36 am

Standings

How it works
Spoiler:
After each Suns game, an MVP thread will be opened for you to vote for your top 3 players. These threads can be created by anyone, as long as there isn't currently a thread for that game.

Anyone can vote for the 3-2-1 (including other fans from other forums) but you can only vote for the Suns players (or coach).

3 votes to who you think was a the best Suns player.
2 for the second best
and 1 for the 3rd best.

**EDIT: as of January something-or-other 2017, you can now distribute votes for the Nashty and Cactus however you please. You have a total of 6 votes to give out, but now you have the freedom to do what you want with those 6. The only condition which applies is no more than 3 votes can be given to one player (or coach) in either award. **

In the event of a Suns loss, you are also encouraged to vote for the Cactus of the game:

-3 votes for the player most responsible for the loss
-2 votes for the second most responsible
-1 for the third most responsible

Any votes with more than 3 players listed and not in the required format will not count. Voting will close before the start of the next Suns game.

After the thread closes, the votes will be tallied. The highest scoring total Sun gets 3 points, the next 2, and the third gets 1 point towards their season total. In the event of a tie in a count for a game, if the result of the game is a Suns win, a maximum of 4 players will be awarded points. A tie in the event of a loss will only result in a maximum of 3 players getting awarded points.

The player with the highest total at season's end wins the award!

The same applies for the Cactus of the Year, although of course the lowest tally at year's end takes it.

Haha...that's how I originally had it. I couldn't decide for more points between TJ and Bender...Bender very efficient, some boards, and Warren in addition to his 23 had 8 boards, 3 assists and a block with only 1 turnover. I'd still like to see Booker do a little more than shoot so much. He did have 3 assists but those also came with 3 turnovers.

+2 Booker need to fit warrens +2 and chriss here too
+2 Warren
+1 Chriss again really really positively surprised by his game. Please continue.
+1 Bender nice to see him expanding his repertoire and achieving results day 1.

-3 Daniels James JJ Len ??!? Ill give it to Daniels this time.... the thought that we might cut Airplane mode to sign James instead of Daniels is giving me a headache.
-2 James 0 team ball played .
-1 Len ... a little bricky

+3 Booker. Another outstanding game.
+2 Warren. Really good game, he made a good job on Ingram on defense.
+1 Bender. One of his best games so far, I would like to give him a +2 too. Encouraging performance.

-2 Ulis. Phoenix, we have a problem. He can't buy a bucket, and he is having a tough time on defense.
-2 Len. One of his worst games this season, he couldn't finish anything at the rim. Defensively he didn't protect the rim as we expect from him.
-1 Jackson. He was out of control. And 0/6 shooting.
-1 James. Bad shooting game, we needed his points in that bench unit.

+3 Booker -Devin is life.
+2 Bender - Probably my 2nd favorite player on this team. Love seeing him be more aggressive and driving to the hoop.
+1 Warren - 2 nice passes from TJ which surprised me since once the ball sees his hands it rarely leaves. I'd love to see more of that in the future.
