1 lineup I would like to see to close out games with a lead is

Jackson
Booker
Warren
Chriss/Bender
Chandler/Len

Instead of taking Warren out for Jackson the last 5 mins like he has in the last 2 wins, take out the PG. Have Jackson guard the opposing teams PG's on defense, and we can still have Warren out there for his offense.

Yeah, that's not a bad idea. I think the Ball should be in Bookers hands the final 2 minutes every possession anyways.

I've liked Triano's rotations so far, but I didn't like how he closed the game last night. Obviously, they won... but James was clearly off all game while Ulis played solid. I felt like he should have been in. And TJ Warren I felt earned the closing minutes by how he played that 2nd half. At least let him go until he misses a couple or something. Especially once Chriss got hurt. Just my opinion...

As a rebounding substitution in critical game situations I think it's fine but for 95% of other situations, I'd take bLender

“It was because of matchups,” he said. “They had (Derrick) Favors and (Rudy) Gobert in the game. Had it been Joe Johnson, we probably would’ve put Dragan (Bender) in the game. At that point, I almost felt like we had enough points, and it was just our best defensive line on how to matchup against them so they couldn’t get anything going.”

Pretty sure we went Len and Chandler for rebounding and because Favors was starting to try banging in the post where Bender is more likely to end up fouling him because of the strength difference. I don't think it's going to be something we see often at all, Triano seems pretty set in giving the power forward minutes to Chriss and Bender at their natural position.

edit: and there's the quote from the horses mouth above^

For Philly, we might even be worse than them this year. So they would give up nothing. If we are better than them, it probably won't be by much. Good grief, there is a reasonable possibility that both picks will be in the top 5.

Kinda of wondering what type of record would justify retaining Coach T .. 3-1 start is not bad ... This will be something to watch over the course of the season. If the players are growing and we are winning it will certainly be interesting come next summer when the Suns go coach hunting.

We should still do our due diligence even if we end up around .500 to finish the season. But if we're at .500 to finish the season, Coach T has to be the favourite.

If we are at .500 and the young guys are really progressing, Triano is a miracle-worker. Pay him big and give him the dough to hire Nash.

Amazing video.
I'm watching the basketball progressions' one too.

Triano is really good.

I hope the Suns aren't stupid like last time and just give the interim guy the actual job again without interviewing others.

I like Triano but I'd love it if we can hire Blatt and retain Triano as the top assistant coach.

Always liked Triano.

Have to love a coach in a position where no success is either expected or predicted, yet he is entrenching the mentality to play HARD and rewarding them with minutes.

Doubt they extend him any further than the interim role, but he's proven he still has what it takes to motivate a team and get wins.

We've needed a hard a$$ in charge for a LONG time and I love how he has Bender/Jackson going in that second unit.

Look at just the statistical difference via AZ Central:
A few of the numbers that back McDonough's assertion:

Points per game average: 98 first three games, 113 past five games.
Opponents' points per game: 128.7, 109.4.
Field-goal percentage: 39.7, 47.2.
Opponents' field-goal percentage: 51.5, 43.0.
3-point shooting percentage: 33.8, 36.4.
Opponents' 3-point shooting percentage: 50, 33.6.
Rebounds per game: 39.7, 51.4.
Assists per game: 15.3, 20.

Apparently, the Hawks are going to consider relieving Budenholzer in the off-season as they don't see him as a rebuilding coach.

If that's the case, it's surely a no-brainer to hire him.
