Nashty & Cactus: Game 20 vs Pelicans

Post#1 » by bwgood77 » Sat Nov 25, 2017 4:27 am

Standings

How it works
Spoiler:
After each Suns game, an MVP thread will be opened for you to vote for your top 3 players. These threads can be created by anyone, as long as there isn't currently a thread for that game.

Anyone can vote for the 3-2-1 (including other fans from other forums) but you can only vote for the Suns players (or coach).

3 votes to who you think was a the best Suns player.
2 for the second best
and 1 for the 3rd best.

**EDIT: as of January something-or-other 2017, you can now distribute votes for the Nashty and Cactus however you please. You have a total of 6 votes to give out, but now you have the freedom to do what you want with those 6. The only condition which applies is no more than 3 votes can be given to one player (or coach) in either award. **

In the event of a Suns loss, you are also encouraged to vote for the Cactus of the game:

-3 votes for the player most responsible for the loss
-2 votes for the second most responsible
-1 for the third most responsible

Any votes with more than 3 players listed and not in the required format will not count. Voting will close before the start of the next Suns game.

After the thread closes, the votes will be tallied. The highest scoring total Sun gets 3 points, the next 2, and the third gets 1 point towards their season total. In the event of a tie in a count for a game, if the result of the game is a Suns win, a maximum of 4 players will be awarded points. A tie in the event of a loss will only result in a maximum of 3 players getting awarded points.

The player with the highest total at season's end wins the award!

The same applies for the Cactus of the Year, although of course the lowest tally at year's end takes it.

+3 Warren - good job with some blocks in addition to 18 on 50%
+1 Jackson - didn't shoot well but very active and stayed engaged
+1 Chandler - efficient finishing and collected rebounds
+1 Ulis - pretty good shooting night which you'd think was good but I don't necessarily like 15 shots and only 2 assists from him

-3 Booker - worst game in a long while, if ever, with 7 pts on 4-13 and 6 turnovers..not sure what's up
-2 James
-1 Chriss

+3 Alec Peters for not being a part of this
+2 Chandler (+1)
+1 Warren (+1)
Jackson (+1) at least looked like he was trying out there. More than I can say for any other sun.

-1 Chriss
-2 James

+1 Ulis. Solid game, probably our best player tonight. He was out played a few times by their guards, but he tried hard...just too small.
+1 Warren. Always good in transition, but we need more from him on defense. He needs to improve as a help defender, he is not good at that.
+1 Chandler. He made his part of the job.

-3 Booker. Horrible defense and he forced a lot on offense. He lost the matchup against Holiday by a mile.
-2 Jackson. He was one big reason why they got separation in the first half...how many times can he lose the ball or take a bad shot? OMG
-1 Monroe. We needed him badly in this game and he fouled a lot, so he didn't have any rhythm. Poor defense.

It's not necessary to say anything about Chriss and Bender, Bender and Chriss.
